Minutes of the meeting held at 7pm on Monday 14thMay 2012, at Bardney Heritage Centre.

/ Minutes of the last meeting:
- The Chairperson read the minutes and these were signed as a true record.
/ Matters Arising:
- Planning consent for siting of Oswald and the audio posts has been submitted to WLDC with the fee of £170. Still awaiting response.
- R Knight has finished the words for the audio board.
- Catherine is waiting for Melanie to respond to request for modifications to one sketch.
- Census discs-S&N Genealogy – continue to gather more information, with a view to purchase.
- Quiz – arrange later
- Gala – It was agreed that a static display would be erected in the Village Hall. Cheque needs paying into BDT.
- Permission has been given by Bob Pilling to view the stones. An agreed date was set as 25th June @18:00hrs for another visit. DM to check with Bob Armstrong.
- A cheque for £50, from BHG, has been presented to Dave Armstrong for his charity bike ride
- Mike & Louis Bradford visited the airfield on 9thMay, with the Chairman. They enjoyed their trip and their tour around the Control Tower. Mike’s father was shot down whilst flying with 9 Squadron on 5th Sept 1943.
- The Churches Open Weekend display in the church went very well
- Informal discussion sessions will start on 25th June @ 19:00hrs. in place of organised talks. All are welcome.
- Southrey Speaker’s Evening was successful, with 20 visitors attending.
- The BAR text for the booklet has been completed. A copy was passed around. It is now ready to go to APS. Will be sent tomorrow (15thMay)

- 18-04-2012Letter from Rev Alan Thomas researching Smith families. He is visiting Bardney on 16th May 2012. (Chairman responded)
- 05-05-2012 Email from Steve Ronson who is researching Bardney Abbey for a dissertation. Looking for information. His email was read out to the meeting. (Chairman responded)
- 08-05-2012 Email from Shirley Golby researching the Richardson families. She will be visiting from Canada shortly. (Chairman responded)
- 10-05-2012 Email from Antony Lee with copy of his blog about the Abbey Table Leg supports being reunited. (Chairman responded)

/ Projects/Interests:
- It was suggested that it might be interesting to try to capture all the formal documentation relative to Bardney Abbey, as a bibliography, to aid future research for the Group and other third parties.
/ Any Other Business:
- The Chairman passed around a letter of intent for a Constitutional change in respect of items being owned by BHG for display in BHC. This will be presented formally at the AGM in June 2012.
- The Chairman reminded the Group that it is AGM next meeting and the accounts will need to be verified.
- The Chairman proposed a vote of thanks to Mary Ablewhite and Mr & Mrs Bramley for kindly letting him scan some historical images of Bardney.
- Friday 18th May - Radio Lincolnshire will be broadcasting live from Bardney Heritage Centre, as a prelude to BHC’s 40th anniversary of the Pop Festival.14:00 -16:00hrs. ALL ARE WELCOME.
- Monday 28th May - Kev Ruane will be talking about Metal Detecting at the Heritage Centre at 19:30hrs. ALL ARE WELCOME.
