TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (WEST BURTON TO COTTAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic RegulationAct 1984, the effect of which will be:-

No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,

(d) cause any animal to proceed,

(e) cause any horse drawn carts or carriages to proceed,

(f) cause any vehicle to proceed

in the following lengths of Bywayat North Leverton with Habblesthorpe in the District of Bassetlaw:-

North Leverton with HabblesthorpeByway No.11 (Street Lane)between grid reference points SK 7965 8184 and SK8036 8187, a distance of 720 metres.

North Leverton with Habblesthorpe Byway No.15 (Southbank Lane) between grid reference points SK 7980 8116 and SK 8098 8115, a distance of 1180 metres.

North Leverton with Habblesthorpe Byway No.16 (Cow Pasture Lane) between grid reference points SK 8064 8078 and SK 8078 7975, a distance of 1060 metres.

And No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,

(d) cause any animal to proceed,

(e) cause any horse drawn carts or carriages to proceed,

in the following length of Restricted Byway at Sturton le Steeple in the District of Bassetlaw:-

Sturton le Steeple Restricted Byway No.32 (Common Lane) between grid reference points SK 7915 8453 and SK 7959 8456, a distance of 450 metres.

And No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,

(d) cause any animal to proceed,

in the following length of Bridlewayat Sturton le Steeple in the District of Bassetlaw:-

Sturton le Steeple Bridleway No.5 (Fenton Lane) between grid reference points

SK 7941 8302 and SK 8139 8285, a distance of 2010 metres.

And No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

in the following lengths of Footpathat Sturton le Steeple, West Burton, North Leverton withHabblesthorpe, Treswell and Rampton in the District of Bassetlaw:-

West Burton Footpath No.1 between grid reference points SK 7947 8499 and

SK 79918492, a distance of 460 metres.

Sturton le Steeple Footpath No.16 between grid reference points SK 7991 8492 and

SK 7987 8478, a distance of 140 metres.

Sturton le Steeple Footpath No.17 between grid reference points SK 7915 8455 and

SK 7947 8499, a distance of 630 metres.

Sturton le Steeple Footpath No.38 between grid reference points SK 7962 8455 and

SK 7945 8394, a distance of 630 metres.

North Leverton with Habblesthorpe Footpath No.18 between grid reference points

SK 7940 8225 and SK 8131 8262, a distance of 2130 metres.

Treswell Footpath No.4 between grid reference points SK 8090 7933 and SK 8076 7917, a distance of 250 metres.

Treswell Footpath No.5 between grid reference points SK 8091 7974 and SK 8092 7914,

a distance of 600 metres.

Rampton Footpath No.5 between grid reference points SK 8076 7917 and SK 8022 7858, a distance of 840 metres.

Rampton Footpath No.6 between grid reference points SK 8092 7914 and SK 8097 7865, a distance of 500 metres.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:-
From Monday, 27th March 2017until Friday, 7thJuly 2017inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there will be no alternative routes.

The prohibition shall applyto enable works to be carried out or in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the public rights of way. It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.

The prohibition is requiredto enable replacement of overhead power cables between West Burton and Cottam Power Stations, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the rights of way.

THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED
