ADDITIONAL INFORMATION and CLARIFICATION ON THE DESIGNATION OF THE SCHOOL/DISTRICTINFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) COORDINATOR

1. This office clarifies the issued Division Memorandum #98, s. 2015 re: Designation Of The School/District Information Communication Technology (ICT) Coordinatorwho are designated teacherICT Coordinator in school andduly designated by the school head.
2. School/DistrictICT Coordinator who shall manage the DCP package and otherinformation system implemented by the Deped and other ICT related concerns in the school shall be deloaded of one (1) hour from their usual six hours teaching loads. However, this one hour shall be devoted to ICT tasks and other school ICT concerns.
3. The designation of the school/districtICT coordinators and deloading of 1 hour applies onlyto;
a. Schoolswith excess teachers
b. Schools with functional DCP facility/laboratory
c. Schools with ten (10) teachers or more
d. ICT Coordinators with other special ICT and ancillary services
4. School and District ICT Coordinators whether they are covered or not with thedeloading of 1 hour must secure designation as the school ICT coordinator for proper coordination and communication in terms of ICT matters.
5.School/District ICT Coordinators must ensure that the functionality and efficacy of the ICT facilities are utilized and shall sustain the teaching and learning process in school.
6. Attached is the template of the School/District ICT Coordinators' Designation.

In the exigency of the service, you are hereby designated as the ICT Coordinator of(school) ______effective immediately.
You are expected to perform your duties and functions as ICT Coordinator and in-charge of all the information system implemented by the DepEd and other related function until such time this designation is rescinded.
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
General Duties:
On ICT Systems and School Infrastructure Management
Assist School/District technology infrastructure
Assist in preparation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP)
On ICT Programs and Projects
Helps integrate ICT in teaching and learning
Supports programs and projects implemented at the school/district, division and learning centers.
Helps updates the Learners Information System (LIS) and Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS) and other Information System that requires Online Transactions.
On Partnership and Stakeholder Management
ICT related MOU/MOA and Contracts
On ICT Policies and Standards Implementation
School/District and Division policy standards must be aligned with the National and Regional policies and standards for Basic Education
On ICT and M & E
Helps M&E system and tools on ICT
Recommends finding and recommendations
On Technical Assistance to Schools/District Integration of ICT in School Governance, Teaching and Learning
Helps capacitate school/district on ICT implementation
Helps identified ICT needs/requirements
Helps recommend to address ICT needs
Helps Technology updates to other ICT Coordinators
On ICT Programs and Projects Implementation
Helps School/District plans on programs and projects aligned with the division, regional and national PPs
Helps in the implantation of the PPs in the school/district/division
Specific Functions:
- Manage and maintain the information and Communication Technology (ICT) Systems and Infrastructure of the School/District to effectively support operations
- Manage and implement ICT programs and projects in the school/district to ensure data validity and effective utilization of the systems
- Formulate plans for the school/district to effectively allocate the necessary ICT resources of the division to support regional and national strategy, operations, programs and projects.
- Participate and communicate with the division and other ICT District and School Coordinators with regard to the implementation of division ICT and ICT-related programs.
