We are proud to be hosting our annual Noosa Swim Club OPEN MEET. The following information will help you in planning a fun filled competition in beautiful Noosa.

Features of the Noosa Open Swim Meet are:

  • 50 metre heated pool
  • 25 metre heated warm up pool
  • Long distance events to be held Friday Night (if you have swimmers in long Dist events please make sure you supply 3 timekeepers for the duration)
  • 5.30pm warm-up for 6.00pm start Friday Night
  • 7.30am warm-up for 8.30am start Saturday
  • Nominations $5.00 per event
  • Dash for Cash events to fastest 10 males and 10 females in 50 metre freestyle.
  • Medals for all events except Dash for Cash
  • “Awards” for Age Champions
  • Hot BBQ Breakfast & Lunch on Saturday as well as canteen facilities available
  • Pool Entry $3.00 adults, $2.00 non-swimmers (5 & over) & swimmers free

NOOSA OPEN SWIM MEET

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. All competitors must be registered with QSA at time of nomination.
  1. The carnival will be conducted under QSA rules.
  1. All entries to be submitted by Club Race Secretaries on nomination forms provided or through team manager. No late entries accepted. NOMINATIONS CLOSE
  1. Date of birth must be shown. Age group for swimmers will be calculated as at the first day of the meet.
  1. Race secretaries are to ensure swimmers’ DOB and nominated times are accurate.
  1. Entry fees must accompany nominations. Cheques should be made payable to Noosa Swimming Club Inc. No monies will be returned for incorrect nominations.
  1. Individual medley races consist of equal distances of butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle in that order.
  1. Qualifying times for 1500 metre freestyle is 23.00 and 800 metre freestyle is 12.00
  1. Swimmers must swim in lanes allotted by the Check Starter.
  1. Events/heats may be combined at the discretion of the Marshall/Referee. Heats may not be reseeded.
  1. Placings will be decided on the fastest times in heats of all events. There will be no finals. Medals will be presented for 1st, 2nd & 3rd best times in each event except the Dash for Cash events.
  1. Age champion awards will be presented to winners of each age group over the 4 form strokes. Monies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd fastest times in Dash for Cash events. 1st = $150, 2nd = $100, 3rd = $50.
  1. If you nominate for 4 or more swims please submit your fastest 50m freestyle time and you may be eligible for the “Dash for Cash”. Fastest 10 males and fastest 10 females will contest this event.
  1. The one-start rule will apply throughout.
  1. Feet first entry for all backstroke events.
