Staffing Shortage Scenario
(Each department identifies critical operations functions and completes actions to take as staff availability declines due to the crisis. Refer to the Department Business Continuity Plan.)
Department: Public Safety (In operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

Critical Functions / PATROL:

No Change in Patrol Functions.
(Begin discussions with PSOA regarding changes in classification.) / PATROL:
Prioritize responses to emergencies and respond to other incidents when available. During some shifts, only one public safety officer will be staffed. (Continue discussion with PSOA regarding changes in staffing).
Contact and advise SFPD and request passing calls.
Request assistance from San Francisco Department of Emergency Mgt.
Intermittent use of Lieutenants to support patrol functions. / PATROL:
