Originally built in 1910, Hilltop Manor still has the feel of a turn of the century “gentlemen’s home.” Unique for the era of Victorian architecture, Hilltop Manor is most definitely in the Craftsman style. The original owners purchased the lighting that still hangs in the dining room today when in Asia on their honeymoon. The chandelier and sconces in the dining room are a combination of Craftsman and Asian style - very much like the exterior of the home. The antique lighting is about 100 years old; it originally would have been installed with gas and then converted to electricity. There are five original fireplaces inside the home and original hardwood floors throughout. Hilltop Manor now offers five thoughtfully appointed guest suites in the historic homes. Foodies appreciate the gourmet breakfasts, which are elegantly plated and served hot in the private suites, in the historic dining room, or on the front porch overlooking the waterfall. Breakfasts include freshly made breads a fruit dish an egg dish such as Eggs Benedict, and a sweet dish such as buttermilk pecan waffles or crème brûlée French toast.
