UNIT LEARNING GOAL:
Students will be exposed to the refugee situation in the world, through the reading of ‘The Happiest Refugee’, ‘Girl Overboard’ or similar text They will investigate reasons as to how these situations have come about concentrating on one country and present an informative report about the country, including the reasons for the refugee crisis in that country. They will also make judgements on the assimilation of refugees into another country based on the tales of a refugee such as Anh Do.
