Local Life Chains are set to join thousands across the USA and Canada standing up against abortion in this peaceful witness—Saving lives from Coast to Coast!

Stand with thousands of pro-life individuals throughout the USA and Canada in honor of millions of babies whose lives have been lost to abortion. Pray for people in crisis situations and for our nations.

Annually on the first Sunday in October, LIFE CHAIN invites the churches in each city and town across North America and Canada to stand on a designated local sidewalk and pray while holding one of several pro-life messages as follows: Abortion Kills Children, Jesus Forgives and heals, Adoption: the Loving Option, Abortion Hurts Women, Pray to End Abortion, El Aborto Mata Ninos, etc. In 2016, over 1,600 cities and towns held Life Chains and so far we know of at least four in our area this year!

The more people holding the signs, the more people will see the messages. Bring your whole family and some friends! You can bring an umbrella for rain;or a hat for sunshine, and a chair if you need it! If your church isn’t participating this year, you’re welcome to come to any table, pick up a sign and become a part of the Life Chain, too

Since the 40 Days for Life Campaign began, 89 abortion facilities have gone out of business permanently. One of the latest to close was in Vacaville, California. The closure followed five years of 40 Days for Life Campaigns being held. Also, the pregnancy help center in Modesto reported that the number of women coming to them doubled in number during the 40 Days for Life Campaign that was held there in past years. All of this attests to the fact that this peaceful, prayerful vigil is effective, and we should participate if we can.

Pro Life Booths at Fairs & Festivals—Currently working on Cotton Festival & Another Church Festival!

It has been a busy spring and summer! Thousands of people of all ages have visited our booths. Our volunteers enabled those who stopped by to get pro-life materials and to hold and show the pre-born baby models to their children. Thank you to all the volunteers who staff our fair and festival booths! Looking ahead to next year, if anyone would like to see a booth at a community or church festival, just let us know. We provide the materials and help with the initial staffing. It would be nice to have booths in the communities of Winton, Gustine, Hilmar, & Planada/Le Grand, too. If you are interested and can help with this, please call the above message phone or 617-3870. If you get this newsletter soon enough, look for our booth at the Sacred Heart festival in Merced on September 10th, and at the Dos Palos Cotton Festival (The festival is from Sept.7th-10th), but we will be there Saturday, September 9th.
