You’re Hosting a Bachelorette Party!!

Here are a few of my personal tips to help make this soirée for the bride-to-be and everyone attending a night to remember!!

ü Location is important. You may have considered holding this big bash at a bar. But experience has proven that this is not the best choice. The best place would be someone’s home with adequate space for all your guests. Pub parties are generally loud and uncontrolled, not to mention that with the lack of a secure location, obnoxious ‘peeping-tom’ men can be unexpected pests that ruin it for everyone. And please, Remember, as with any Pure Romance there can be NO men or children (even sweet little babies) present. This is the law, but also this is definitely a time for “just the girls”

ü Go ahead and invite all your friends to guarantee the highest amount of success for the party. More people will equal more excitement for everyone! And more orders result in much more free product for our bachelorette!! Attendees need not be best buds with the bachelorette. You will be surprised to find out how many gals who don’t even know the bride are happy to tack on a little present for her in the order room.

ü Please no Outside Gifts. This means please don’t tell your guests to bring other gifts for the bachelorette. The reason you are having this party is to allow me to help the attendees to supply the bachelorette with all her honeymoon needs and beyond and to fill her “Marriage Toolbox”!!! I promise to provide great entertainment if you will promise to help encourage sales.

ü Remind the bachelorette about filling out her wish list and getting it back to me in a timely manner (not the day before the party) so I can have most, if not all, of what she wants available at the party.

ü I will post the bride-to-be’s wish list in the order room. Most items on her list should be in the $5-$30 range, so your guests can easily afford to purchase gifts for the bride and products for themselves. This will add to the bride’s hostess credit, too, so she can get even more free product!! This way, your guests won’t have to make a special shopping trip before the party and they will be purchasing presents that the bachelorette has specifically asked for.

ü Let’s talk about the STRIPPER!! If you aren’t having a stripper, then you can skip this part. If you are having one, then PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! I require a block of 3-4 hours from the beginning of my presentation to when the stripper arrives. I absolutely cannot conduct my presentation if the stripper is present for any part of it. It is against Pure Romance policy to have any men at our parties, and yes – the stripper counts! This is vital to the success of your party.

ü Keep in mind that you may want to have a few fun items already on hand the night of the party!! See the novelty list provided.

ü And please let me know if you want Mild, Wild or somewhere in between!

Checklist for A Successful Party

*Get everyone to be on time! Tell them your party starts 30 minutes sooner than the actual party time! Exp: Party at 7pm BUT Invites say 6:30pm!*

2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR PARTY:

♥ Handout or mail all the invitations. I recommend Evite.com for email invites. (30-40 is our goal)

♥ Mail catalogs to out of town friends and family. If they order online, have them put the bride’s name in the comment section.

♥ Give catalogs to guests who can’t attend.

1 WEEK BEFORE YOUR PARTY:

♥ Remind friends, if they bring a friend they will get a free gift. Bring 3 friends and they’ll get 10% off their order.

♥ I will call you just to check in and see if you need any help with anything or have any questions.

1-2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR PARTY:

♥ Call everyone to remind them of our party date and time. You can blame it on me, tell them the Romance lady needs to know so she can have plenty of everything!

♥ Get a final headcount.

♥ I bring my own table to set up, but start thinking about a private location for the ordering room.

♥ I will call you to confirm your party and get directions to your home.

PARTYTIME!

♥ I will arrive 20-30 minutes earlier than party time to set up.

♥ Have a room for confidential ordering available (maybe a spare bedroom, etc).

♥ PLEASE make sure all MEN, CHILDREN, & BABIES (even precious babies) are out of the WHOLE house for the WHOLE PARTY! Pure Romance Corporate office has strict rules regarding this and many states have laws that consider it solicitation to minors and men.

♥ Men are welcome to place orders before or after the party presentation.

♥ RELAX AND HAVE FUN!!!

TIPS FOR COLLECTING OUTSIDE ORDERS:

ü Increase your show’s sales and FREE SHOPPING AMOUNT

ü Allow others who can’t come to order or book a show

Outside orders are a great way to increase your show sales by accommodating those customers who can’t attend. Just because they can’t come doesn’t mean they don’t want to order or book a show! Try to get at least 5 outside orders before your show- and watch your shopping spree GROW and GROW!

Following these suggestions will help make your show successful:

1. Total each order (subtotal), add $4.00 shipping and handling. THEN add 5% tax on the total of sale +S/H. Pay total (Sale + S/H + Tax= Total to pay)

2. Please have 2 phone numbers and a driver’s license number written on each check. Orders paid for by checks without a phone number and a driver’s license number will not be filled. I accept Visa and MasterCard if ordered online, in person or over the phone.. May also pay by cash.

3. Please make all checks payable to “Dawn Breckenridge”.

4. I will send the customer their receipts and purchases directly, not to the hostess! Ordering is private!

Make a wish list of items so that your girlfriends can shop easily for you!
