Things you would like to know? You are encouraged to remember and share these important notes.

  • On arrival, please make sure you and the girls visit the Welcome/Info/Registration Centre. Please provide two copies of participant list and phone numbers along with cell phone numbers of leaders. If you do not have a copy of the ERP, please ask and take a moment to review before starting your day. Here the girls will be given their event crest, passport, and other goodies.
  • Meet with the Quebec Provincial Commissioner and her Deputies. Did you pick up their crests for your camp blankets? Did you and your girls sign the guest book?
  • At each station you visit and participate, you will receive a sticker or stamp that is to be placed in your passport. Each station is represented by a different sticker.
  • There is another activity in the park today – GO DDO, which has information and activities on healthy living for children. Feel free to check them out.
  • Make a new friend. Find old friends. Did you bring a friend?
  • Lost and Found will be located at Information.
  • Ali from our Provincial office will be the sole contact with the media (if applicable). Others approached by the media are instructed to refer the media to the GGC Welcome Centre.
  • There will be a BBQ to support patrols going to GM16.Note TBA
  • Washrooms can be found in the nearby chalet.
  • Remember that recreation and sandals do not mix. Please wear appropriate footwear.
  • Dress according to weather. The park is very wet.
  • Hat and sunscreen recommended on sunny days. We hope to use it that day!
  • LISTEN for warning whistles. Be prepared to STOP and listen for instructions. Emergency – 3 long whistles. Stop – 1 long whistle. Gather – 2 long whistles. Guiders, please bring a whistle.
  • Help us make this event smoke-free. The park and arena are smoke-free.
  • Parking is available for cars and buses in the parking lot off Lake Road.
  • It is prohibited to be near the shorelineof the lake.
  • Please bring a first aid kit and whistle.
  • There are many plants in the park. Please be aware of ragweed (a little early in the season) and poison ivy sprouting up along the trails.
  • Ducks love this park. You will see them along the shoreline, in and around the park, trails and in the duck pond. They do not need to be fed.
  • The park is home to squirrels and they like people. They are not that friendly. Do not get too close!
  • Many people use this park to walk their dogs, often off-leash. Please encourage your girls to not approach any dogs.
  • We are required to leave the site clean, so please use the garbage cans and recycle bins provided on site and encourage the girls not to litter.
  • Please remind your girls we are in the public and to adhere to the Code of Conduct.
