Job Title: Testing Psychologist and Training Supervisor
Hamm Clinic is seeking a full-time doctoral-level psychologist to providepsychological assessment and psychotherapy; and to participate inthe training and supervision of psychology trainees.

Hamm Memorial Psychiatric Clinic is an outpatient, mental health clinic that provides services to adults, couples and families in the greater Twin Cities area. We are a private, non-profit clinic founded in 1954 by the Hamm Foundation. The Clinic continues to receive significant funding from the Hamm Foundation Fund of The Saint Paul Foundation.
Hamm Clinic provides comprehensive mental health services on an ability to pay basis, accepting client fees determined by insurance, private pay, medical assistance or sliding-fee reimbursement. The clinic is a MN Department of Human Services Rule 29 approved facility.We operate within a well-integrated multi-disciplinary treatment model: weekly treatment team meetings, and the ongoing collaboration between therapy, therapeutic modalities, psychiatry, and psychological assessment are central to the quality of care that we provide.
Hamm Clinic operates a pre-doctoral psychology internship program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), and is an Association of Psychology/Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) member psychology training site. In addition, Hamm Clinic provides training for social work interns, psychiatry residents, and clinical fellows.

Current Position:
Psychological Assessment:The testing psychologist will provide culturally-responsive psychological assessment for an adult, outpatient population.A typical referral is an individual with complex psychiatric conditions that may intersect with medical conditions or neurological disorders. The testing program at Hamm Clinic is consistent with the clinic’s fundamental commitment to support the provision of quality treatment and psychotherapy.The ideal candidate would be able to utilize testing findings for growth and healing, and deliver feedback in a thoughtful, honest, and sensitive manner.
Supervision and Training: This position is a unique opportunity to assume a leadership role in psychology training. The testing psychologist will supervise psychology trainees in psychological assessment. In addition, the testing psychologist will participate in the Psychology Training Committee and teach select training activities for trainees and staff.
Psychotherapy: In addition to psychological assessment, the testing psychologist will provide care for a caseload of psychotherapy patients, utilizing individual, couples, and/or family therapy modalities.
Primary Responsibilities specific to the Testing Psychologist position:
- Provide psychological assessment for adults using a therapeutic assessment approach.
- Provide instruction and supervision of psychological assessment for psychology trainees (interns and post-doctoral fellows).
- Participate in Psychology Training Committee
- Maintain a clinical case load.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team consultation meetings once per week.
- Manageperiodic on-call.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
Education:
- Doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology from APA-accredited program.
- Licensed or license eligibility as a psychologist in the state of Minnesota.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Intensive training and experience in psychological assessment.
- Knowledge of issues of a community mental health population.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to multicultural issues.
- Generalist clinical skills and demonstrated experience assessing and intervening with a range of clinical issues.
- Experience with clinical supervision, in training or practice.
- Strong interpersonal skills including strong oral, written, and listening communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship.
- Experience providing clinical services to a community mental health population.
- Formal training in therapeutic assessment.
- Presentation and training skills desired.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- Experience providing supervision and training to pre-doctoral psychology interns.
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary clinical treatment team.
- Experience and skills working with substance abuse.
