Fitting the Corner Star Flyscreen windows screens:
- For flyscreens with a fixed / riveted upper sash, use the above configuration of screw holes and s/steel screws as per the above diagram.
- For all others, pre-drill the back of the flyscreen outer frame with a 3-3.5mm drill bit as above, but adding additional holes to the top of the outer frame of the flyscreen, as required.
- Then, using a 3mm s/steel screw (3x9mm, 3x13mm etc), fix the flyscreen to the mounting surface.
- Once the screen is fitted, slide the sashes up and down to ensure smooth sliding. If any area sticks, then loosen the closest screw slightly for a smoother sliding sash. A light application of silicone spray in the sliding channels will assist this.
- Cut-outs should be made for any burglar bars to ensure a close fit of the flyscreen to the window frame, and any gaps should be closed up using a matching or clear silicone sealant.
Installing our “OX”Single Sliding screen doors:
- Start by placing the bottom m-track next to the existing door sill rail, without fixing the m-track in place. Then place the screen door onto the m-track and test to see how far the screen door needs to be moved away from the existing glass doors so as to clear the door handle.
- Mark the m-track in place to be fixed, as well as the top of the door for the head rail (u-channel) to be marked for drilling in place
- Remove the screen door and fix the m-track in place, and you can usethe screen door to support the head rail while it gets fixed in place.
- The l-piece with the woolpile can then be fitted to ensure that the gap between the glass door and back end of the screen door is closed when the glass door is in the open position.
- Fit the screen door handles last - once the door is fitted – the general placement of the door handle to be at a position that does not interfere with the existing door handle.
