PARISH MEETING – 1/23/2018. 6:00 P.M. Opening prayer by Father Andrij. 8 people present: Father , David Hryn Mark Slabyk, Joseph Gabryel,Donna Slabyk, Monica Bierman, Sandra Holynski, John.
Review of parish annual financial report – conducted by Father Andrij
• Stamford Diocese will be sending an auditor in the near future to review this report, records of parish banking transactions, feedback from chancery on discussion of possible sale of our parish hall on Abbott Rd.
• Question raised by attendee for explanation of annual cathedraticum and alumnaticum: It is the support for Stamford cathedral (the church proper on Stamford campus) and the seminary.
Minutes of last parish meeting – read by David Hryn.
Discussion of the following were conducted: • Electrical repair to outlet plug in church vestibule needed. • Water pressure into the rectory is low: Erie Co. Water Authority to be contacted if PSI is low.• No parish Christmas party was held this year due to lack of parishioner organization of it.
• Fiberglass windows above the church front door are blackened and unsightly: discussion of whether to paint, clean or replace them.
• Microphone system in the church in need of replacement/upgrade.
• Concrete wall in connecting hallway behind the church altar in need of painting due to previous water damage. • Replace church sign on front lawn facing Ridge Rd.
• Repair rectory ceiling in hallway from water damage, resulting from before its roof replacement. • Replace rectory picture-sized window near church office door: water leakage and poor insulation. • Repair/replace concrete stairs to church office. • Possible fencing/new window blinds along rectory's kitchen window for privacy. • Replace chain link fencing near garage, damaged last year from heavy snow. • Person(s) needed to maintain snow removal around church, sidewalks, and salting as needed. Current snow plow contractor will be asked for quote for these additional services. • Church hall hot water tank was repaired by David Hryn.
Father expressed his thoughts that while this list is large, and our parish population lessens in number, repairs to the most pressing items need attention before they worsen and will be more costly in the future. 7:25 p.m. - Meeting adjourned, and closed with a prayer by Father Andrij.

It is extremely important for the parish to willing listen to various ideas regarding the future needs of the parish. This meeting was productive since all attending the meeting respectfully listened to each ideas. This is very important for the future of our parish. This convention will require a a lot of planning and help. An organizational meeting of the Convention Committee will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 6:00PM in St. Nicholas Church Hall.
