The Great Fairburn BAKE-Off Returns!!!!
Dear Parents of Bake Off winners,
It’s here-the next stage of our epic Bake Off-
The Technical Challenge: FLAPJACK
Organisation
All ingredients will be provided except the elements your child may choose to add in. Please bring them in on the day your child is baking.
The children will be expected to measure, mix, combine and cook their own ingredients. They will be supervised at all times by Mrs Beavers and children will be supported handling hot pans. Mrs Beavers will also help with tin preparation if needed.
Year 1, 4 and 6 winners will complete their technical challenge on the afternoon of Wednesday 31st January.
Year 2,3 and 5 winners will complete their technical challenge on the afternoon of Thursday 1st February.
In both cases, Judges, Paul Martin Hollywood and Jo Berry Beavers, will taste and judge the children’s talented creations in a ceremony on Friday morning.
So, we have given you the basic recipe overleaf but your child can add any ingredients they wish to create a magnificent Flapjack of their own.
It is advisable that the children familiarise themselves with the recipe and cooking times before the day to ensure they maximise their chances of success.
Good luck!
