Northern District 4-H All Stars Welcome 2008 Members

Dear 2014 Northern District (East) 4-H All Stars

As you were told at tapping orientation, your Northern District (East) 4-H All Star Chapter is hosting a picnic at Graves Mountain Lodge on Sunday afternoon, August 10th to honor you, our 2014 4-H All Stars. The picnic is to recognize you for achieving this goal through your participation in 4-H and to welcome you into the organization. We will present each of you with your choice of 1) Northern District 4-H All Star t-shirt or 2) piece of All Star jewelry (pin).

Registration - 3:30 – 4:15 - At Graves Mountain Lodge picnic shelter. Pass the main entrance and take the next road on the left directly into the shelter area. Go to www.gravesmountain.com/ for directions and more information on the lodge which is owned and operated by two 4-H All Stars, Jim and Rachel Graves. Graves Mountain Lodge is in Madison County at Syria.

Silent Auction opens – 4:00 We are having a “Silent Auction” in order to build our treasury as well as add interest and fun to the gathering. You are encouraged to participate. Ideas include: A basket (box, etc.) of fresh garden produce, plants, baked items such as various breads, cakes, or cookies as well as “things”. Be creative, and join the fun!! Proceeds support scholarships to attend conferences, this event, and scholarships for public speaking participants to 4-H Congress.

District Meeting & recognition of 2014 All Stars – 4:15 Dinner – 5:15

Silent Auction Bidding Ends – 6:00Adjourn – 6:15

The picnic meal (hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings provided by Graves Mountain Lodge) is free for all 2014 Stars. For parents and other guest the costis $12 per person.

The District All Star Chapter and fellow All Stars will cover the cost of the 2014 All Star meals and N. District All Star t-shirts or All Star pin.
