·  Today is Monday, March 14, 2016, Schedule Day 6.

·  Library is open to passes today during all periods.

·  Applications are now being accepted for the American Legion Auxiliary Keystone Girls State, a week long, simulated government immersive learning experience. If you are interested in a spending a week at Shippensburg University this summer and honing your leadership skills, please see Mrs. Greene in the Counseling office for more details. Please note the deadline is MARCH 23rd.

·  The third contest of the American Computer Science League is finishing TODAY. The Short Problems part of the contest will be given today in room 354 during periods 4, 6, 7, and 8. You may also take it during a study hall or after school. Students may get a pre-signed pass from Ms. Blackstone if needed.

·  Attention PA Math League members! Our last contest will be Tuesday, March 15th, Period 9, in the Multimedia Room. Bring a pencil and calculator.

·  Congratulations to the school winners of the American Math Competition (AMC). Bruce Wu, Grade 9, won AMC 10; Sameer Lal and Jie Luo won AMC 12. Sameer and Jie advanced to the next level of testing.

·  There will be a brief meeting after school TODAY in room 538 for all who are attending the Model UN at Lehigh on Friday, March 18th.

·  Habitat for Humanity will meet Tuesday, March 15th after school in room 513.

·  Break Dance club will meet Tuesday, March 15th at 3:15 p.m. in Café 1.

·  No Place for Hate will meet on Thursday, March 17th, from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in room 566.

·  On Saturday, March 19th, 2016 from 8:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., the Forensic Science Student Organization at Cedar Crest College will hold the 14th Annual Forensic Science Symposium. The event, themed “The CSI Effect,” will showcase the reality of working in the field of forensic science. All high school students and their guest(s) will receive free admission and lunch. If you would like to attend, you must register on the Cedar Crest website (http://www.cedarcrest.edu/ca/academics/forensic_science/10815_sympHOLD.shtm) no later than TODAY.

·  Senator Patrick Toomey & Congressman Charles W. Dent’s Offices will be hosting their annual U.S. Service Academy Information Day on Saturday April 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hamburg High School. Presentations on their nomination process will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. For more information please pick up a flyer from the Counseling Office. This is a great opportunity to talk with Congressman Dent, staff from Senator Toomey’s office and representatives of the Air Force, Naval, Merchant Marine and Coast Guard Academies, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the R.O.T.C. to gain a better understanding of the nomination and admission process.

·  Any interested student aged 16 years or older who would like to help Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley on April 2nd or April 16th with a construction build, please see Megan Cilento or Miss Russo in room 513 for more information.

·  Time is running out to order your 2015-2016 Yearbook. Yearbooks can be ordered by visiting www.smart-pay.com.

·  Mud Club meets Tuesday afternoons each week from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in room 520. Club officers are starting several different projects for members to try. Make it a good day come play with clay.

·  2014-2015 yearbooks have arrived. If you pre-ordered a yearbook, please see Mr. Moxey in room 503 to pick up your copy. If you’d like to purchase one, the cost is $80.
