Credit Internships / Credit-bearing internships in almost all Career Programs and in many transfer programs. Course code is HUMN-299 for this option. / Expansion into new career programs, increased marketing initiatives to increase student participation. Introduce internship readiness workshops.
Non-Credit Internships / Non-credit bearing work experience offered to all eligible students (non-credit). Course code is INTERN-999. / Outreach to students not yet eligible for Internship participation to gain practical, hands-on work experience (career exploration).
Service-Learning / Offered as an option in 32 courses and student organizations (PTK, Clubs, Governance).
Offered as an option in HUMN 129. / Provide “best practices” training materials and community connections to assist faculty in creating service option in additional courses or creating a mandatory component in courses.
Education Field Experience / The coordination and facilitation of the Education Field Observation EDUC-199 and the Early Childhood EDEC-199 / Continue site development and student placement/monitoring.
Curriculum Enrichment / Assistance infusing experiential learning activities into existing courses. / Provide “best practices” training materials and community connections to assist faculty in creating experiential learning into their existing and developing courses.
