*must be stretched, dressed, and fully ready to go at 4:15pm
2017 HHS CHEER TRYOUT PROCEDURES
A. When and where?
-Wednesday, March 8th, 2017, at Hopson Field House- 4:30pm.
-enter through doors near the football field into the HOME locker room
-you may arrive @ 3:30pm to stretch, warm-up, etc., but you will not be able to go into the gym to practice
-you must be ready to go by 4:15pm
B. What will I wear?
-plain black t-shirt (not see-through, skin tight, or another shirt turned inside-out)
-black shorts (not too short or too tight)
-plain white socks
-cheer shoes or tennis shoes (all white)
-HAIR MUST BE IN A NEAT PONYTAIL with no bow in your hair
-no jewelry
-no fingernail polish
C. Who can attend?
-only coaches and candidates are allowed into Hopson Field House
-parents are to leave the premises after they drop off their child
-candidates may not stay to watch other schools’ tryout
-candidates may not leave until HHS is finished, in case of ties
D. Who will be watching me?
-3 judges hired by FBISD – UCA/NCA Certified
-3 score tabulators hired by FBISD
-Director of Athletics for FBISD
-Administrator for HHS
-Coaches: Gant & Woodward
-1 Runner- Coach Fisher
E. What order will I tryout in?
-groups (of 3) and tryout order will be determined during clinic day 2
F. What will I perform?

Cheerleading Tryouts Sequence of Events
After being admitted to the gym, each candidate will:
- Walk out to the cone.
- Wait for the judges to say, “Go.”
- Spirit into the center of the mat.
- Do 3 jumps.
- Perform a cheer.
- Walk to the opposite end of the mat and tumble in the direction of the door where you entered.
- Exit the gym.
After the three candidates have performed their individual routine, that group will re-enter the gym and demonstrate their dance as a group.
G. When will I know the results?
-Results will be posted online at 5pm on Friday, March 10th.
