Tuition and Financial Arrangements

The tuition for the Dental Assisting course offered by this institution is $2895.00

The above tuition covers all costs for the course. Lunch is provided on the premises to maximize the learning time.

The course will run twelve (12) consecutive weeks, eight classroom hours per week for a total of ninety six (96) classroom hours of instruction. This will include lecture material as well as clinical “hands-on” training. In addition, there is approximately 60 hours of home study plus a voluntary 10-15 hours of “practical on-the-job training for a total of approximately 155 course work hours. After completion of the course work it is recommended that each student complete an 80 hour internship at the dental office of their choice.

The tuition fee includes all of the following:

•Textbook: Modern Dental Assisting, Torres& Ehrlich, 8th edition (Saunders)

•Textbook: Concepts in Dental Assisting, Richard Erickson, DDS, 2nd Edition (DCI Publishing)

•One set of scrubs to be worn during class.

•All training and visual aids, materials and dental supplies used in the clinical training.

•Use of all equipment and instrumentation with actual “hands on” training during the course.

•A Certificate in Dental Assisting, Dental Assistant pin and a letter of recommendation outlining your training and experience will be awarded to all students who have attained a 70% or above grade average.

•X-ray training in accordance with state regulations.

•Training in all phases of General Dentistry including: Endodontics, Crown and Bridge, Cosmetic Bonding, Amalgam Restorations, Impressions, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, 4-handed dentistry, front desk skills and much, much more!

Actual clinical experience and live patient practice.

All instruction is from dental professionals in an actual dental office, not a classroom.

Instructor: Alicia Sharp, CDA and April Vier, CDA are both graduates of the Advanced Dental Assisting School and have both worked chairside with Dr. Melton for 5 years.

Director of Education, R.H. Melton, DDS, MAGD, MBA has over 40 years of experience in dentistry. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry and has attained his mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (only 1% of licensed dentists have reached the level of mastership in the AGD.)

Tuition for the 12 week Dental Assisting Course $2895.

Payment may be made using one of the following arrangements:

$2605 paid in full (enclosed) at time of registration.

$800.00 down payment (enclosed,) then $175.00 per week for twelve weeks. Payments are due at the beginning of each class.

$800 minimum down payment is required to reserve your place in the upcoming class.

Refunds and Cancellations Policy

A graduation certificate, letter of recommendation and pin will only be awarded to those students attaining a 70% or above grade average. Those students whose grade average is below 70% will not receive a certificate but will be allowed to retake the entire course (if desired) at a reduced fee of $1300. A full refund will be made of all deposits or payments if cancellation is made before the start of the first class. After the first class but prior to the second class, all but $375.00 will be refunded if cancellation is made. For cancellations during class 2-5, $230 per session will be charged plus $375 for the first class and any remaining balance will be refunded. There will be no refunds after the 5th session. Those wishing to cancel for illness or personal reasons may resume their course of study in the next class with no penalty and may repeat the already completed sessions if desired.
