ADMINISTRATIVE AND JOINING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAUNCHING CAMP
AT UC COLLEGE ALUVA FROM _06 OCT2017 TO 15 OCT 2017
1. Introduction. A launching Camp for SD/SW, JD/JW cadets of 23 (K) Bn NCC and shortlisted cadets of IGC/RDC Ernakulam Gp contingents will be held at UC College, Aluva, Ernakulam (Dist) From 06 Oct 2017 to 15 Oct 2017.
2. Aim:
(a) To provide exposure of camp life to cadets and provide useful and concentrated training.
(b) To develop spirit of community living, self-confidence, comradeship, ideal of service and qualities of leadership.
(c) To train shortlisted cadets of IGC/RDC Ernakulam Gp contingents.
3. Location. The camp will be held at UC College, Aluva which is approximately 07 KM way from Aluva Rly Stn / KSRTC Bus stand and approximately 22 KM from Ernakulam Jn Rly Station/Bus Stand. NRS of the camp is Aluva.
4. Duration. SD/SW/JD/JW Cadets : 06 Oct 2017 to 15 Oct 2017
5. Camp Appts:-

(c) Other appointments will be published in the Camp Routine Orders.
6. Camp Strength:-
(a) RDC Team
(i) ANOs & PI Staff. NCC Gp HQ Ernakulam requested to detail the Trg team consisting of ANOs (Max two) and PI staff as required by the Contingent Cdr. The total str may be info at the earliest for accounting purpose.
(ii) Cadets – Appx 100 Vacancies allotted by Ernakulam Group for IGC/RDC Selection.
(iii) Veh.
(a) 1 driver for Eicher Canter to be detailed by NCC Gp HQ, Ernakulam.
(b) 1xdriver with Maruthi Gypsi.
(iv) Wpns.
(aa) 7.62mm DP/Service Rifles. All units will deposit DP/Service Rifles for training as per the allotment strength of cadets.
(ab) .22 Rifle. All units to bring .22 rifle for the BC cadets nominated from their unit.
(v) Amn. All units will deposit 500 rds each for BC firing .22 Rif. All units to bring .22 Rif for the BC cadets detailed

7. Cadets who are nominated for next camp from CATC Kuttanellur (01 Sep 2017 to 10 Sep 2017) will attend the camp. The final selection of the contingent will be started at 10 AM 06 Oct 2017. Late comers will not be entertained.

8. Escort Duty. Necessary escort will be provided by respective ANO for their SW and JD/JW cadets upto camp location and back after completion of camp.
9. Opening Ceremony. The camp inauguration will be on 06 Oct 2017 at 1100 hrs. ANOs of all institutions (including care takers and those who are not detailed for the camp) are kindly requested to attend the function .They will also ensure their cadet strength is complete and the documents are correct in all respect.
10. Move Plan.
(a) Advance party. Officers, PI Staff and Civilian staff detailed for the camp will move to camp site on 05 Oct 2017 (FN).
(b) Main Body. All SD/SW and JD/JW cadets and ANOs will report at campsite on 06 Oct 2017 (FN).
(c) Staff detailed for camp duties will report to this unit on 05 Oct 2017 (FN).

11. TA/DA. Actual train/Bus fare will be paid to ANOs/Cadets from their respective institutions to camp site and back. No sleeper class train Journey fare will be paid to the cadets attending the said camp. They will meet onward journey fare, which will be reimbursed from the camp on producing proper receipts/tickets. TA/DA claim will be submitted to Camp office latest by the 3rd day of the camp.
12. Documents. The following documents are to be handed over on arrival at the camp in r/o of all cadets:-
(a) Nominal Roll with all details.(Institution wise)
(b) Parent’s consent and willingness cert, (c) Medical certificate
(d) Risk Certificate (e) Indemnity Bond (f) Drowning/Accident certificate.
13. Clothing and Necessaries. All cadets should be properly kitted as authorized for CATC. In addition, they should be in possession of sufficient civilian clothes, plate, mug, spoons, torch, toilet items, and buckets, writing materials, light bedding, ground sheet/durries and musical instruments.
14. Accommodation. Adequate built up accommodation is available. Allotment will be made on arrival.
15. Buddy Pair of Cadets. Nominal roll to be forwarded for buddy pairs by each institution.
16. Medical Cover. A combatant Nursing Assistant will be available in the camp. On emergency cover will be attended at Civil medical hospital Aluva.
(a) All School/College Principals and ANOs are requested to ensure that medically fit cadets are only detailed to attend the camp.
(b) No self-medication.
17. Messing
(a) Cadets on arrival will give exact strength of Veg/Non-veg to the Camp Havildar Maj of 23(K) Bn NCC. Daily menu will be displayed on the notice board and published in the CRO. ANOs and PI Staff will ensure that their Cadets get sufficient food. All will ensure that wastage of food is avoided.
(c) Offrs and PI Staff will deposit their messing charges with the Camp commandant immediately on arrival and obtain proper receipt.
18. Haircut. All cadets will have proper hair cut before coming to the camp strictly. ANO’s should ensure this before reporting for the camp.
19. Mobile Phones. All ANOs are directed to instruct their cadets not to carry mobile phones to the camp. No complaint of any loss of mobile (if brought) will be accepted.
20. Alcohol. Use and possession of alcohol and other narcotic material in the camps is strictly prohibited by all ranks and cadets.
21. Leave. No leave will be granted during the camp. Cdts having prior commitments will not be spared; therefore they need not be detailed.
22. Discipline. Strict discipline will be maintained by all concerned during the camp. Smoking, consumption of liquor, drugs etc., are strictly prohibited. Defaulters will be expelled from the camp and disciplinary action will be taken against them. The Camp commandant will brief on local administration and discipline, immediately on reporting in the camp.
23. Visit. Parents/guardian/teachers are welcome to visit the camp between 1630 hrs to 1730 hrs on all days. A room/accommodation will be earmarked for visitors. Comments/suggestion of visitors is welcome.
24. Valuables. No valuables will be brought to the camp. Camp staff will not be responsible for loss of valuables if any.
25. Out of Bound. All area other than the camp location and water bodies by lakes/ponds will be out of bound for all ranks and cadets. Limits of camp area will be explained on ground on reporting for camp.

26. Security. All ANOs / PI Staff/Civ staff / Cdts will ensure safety and security of their men and materials as well as camp stores.
27. Hygiene & Sanitation. It will be ensured by all concerned that the camp area, Cook House and its surroundings are always kept neat and clean. Throwing of plastic bags, papers, litter and other unused items will be avoided. Adequate hygiene and sanitation items will be made available in the camp.
28. Out Pass. Under no circumstances OUT PASS will be issued during the camp. Any cadets who feel that they have some personal commitment during the camp not to be detailed. No Camp Certificates will be issued to the cadets if they insist on proceeding on OUT PASS.
29. Arms and Ammunition. Kote JCO/NCO of 23 (K) Bn NCC shall carry the following Arms/Ammunition for firing practice/Drill of the cadets:-

30. Stores. All teaching/trg aids stores as required will be held with Store I/C.
31. Camp Routine Orders. Camp routine orders will be published daily and will be displayed on the Notice board and announced in roll calls. All concerned will get acquainted with CRO. Ignorance of orders will not justify dereliction and will be viewed seriously.
