MATERIALICA 2011:
Deutsche Edelstahlwerke extends its sales presentation
by powder production and welding filler materials
For the first time the Deutsche Edelstahlwerke GmbH display at MATERIALICA in Munich will also feature its powder production and welding filler material divisions. The product range includes metal powders and continuous cast bars which the company manufactures from wear- and corrosion-resistant alloys (hard alloys). They are used in particular as coating for tools and components whose surface quickly wears out by continuous use or is damaged by extreme environments, e.g. buckets on modern bucket-wheel excavators or engine valves in cars.
When? 18th - 20th October 2011
Where?MATERIALICA, Munich Trade Fair, Hall A6, Stand 421
The hard alloy division became part of Deutsche Edelstahlwerke in spring 2010. The company had previously taken over the business unit from Böhler, a steel manufacturer in Germany, and decisively extended its product line by welding solutions.
In addition to welding filler materials and powder production, Deutsche Edelstahlwerke is also presenting proven and innovative fields of application for FERRO-TITANIT®, a powder-metallurgical hard material, at its 32 square metre stand once again this year. To round off the information, not only technical advice but also many exhibits as well as film and photo materials await the visitors to the stand.
“All our special materials are used wherever work-pieces are subject to extreme wear, e.g. in the chemical, automotive or plastics-processing industry. Technicians and engineers find them interesting when the materials they are currently using no longer meet their application requirements,“ explains Petra Hendricks, special materials sales manager at Deutsche Edelstahlwerke.
Special materials at MATERIALICA
The special materials division of Deutsche Edestahlwerke has attended the trade fair as an exhibitor featuring FERRO-TITANIT® since 1999. Materialica is the international trade fair for materials applications, surface technology and product engineering and welcomed roughly 12,000 visitors in 2010. As eCarTec, the international fair for electric mobility, is also taking place in parallel to MATERIALICA, the high proportion of automobile industry representatives will certainly result in some interesting synergy effects for the exhibitors at both fairs. “In future MATERIALICA will continue to be an important fair for us as a manufacturer of special materials for demanding, technical challenges,“ says Petra Hendricks.
