1st WORKSHOP REPORT

- trainees introduce themselves and know each other first in small groups and then in plenary
- presentation of the aim, objectives and philosophy of the course and of the project partners

- recording contact details and making arrangements for the communication between trainers and trainees beyond the face to face workshop

4. Basic Workshop minutes
Before the 1stworkshop the web address of the “School Inclusion” portal had been sent by mail to the teachers as well as written instructions to enter and use the teachers’ forum. The educational material (modules’ content) had also been sent to them.
The workshops started with a welcome speech by Prof. Dimitris Alimisis. After that the trainers Dr. Anthi Karatrantou and Dr. Sifis Fragoulis introduced themselves and trainees did the same and tried to know each other first in small groups and then in plenary.
Prof. Dimitris Alimisis presented the aim, objectives and philosophy of the course and the project partners.
Dr. Sifis Fragoulis started a discussion ontheproblemof early school leaving prevention and the teachers involved in it very dynamic expressing thoughts and describing experiences.
Dr. Anthi Karatrantou gave first instructions for an active way of study of the training materials and explained how to use the project portal.
Dr. Sifis Feagoulis and Dr. Anthi Karatrantou presented shortly the basic topics of module 1.
After that trainees write downtheir personal experiences in early school leaving phenomenon, they presented them to the whole team and discussed about them.
Before the end of the workshop the participants recorded contact details and made arrangements for the communication between trainers and trainees beyond the face to face workshop.
The teachers participating the workshop find very important the fact that despite the differences among the educational systems, the educational practises and sometimes the cultures of the partners’ countries the problems concerning the School Inclusion are common and they demand common treatment.
