Austin College Athletic Training
Dear Athletic Trainer,
Welcome to Sherman Texas and Austin College, we hope you enjoy your visit and would like to inform you of supplies and services that will be provided to you while you are here.
The Austin College Athletic Training Room is located in the northwest corner of the Mason Complex. The Athletic Training Room will be open 2 hours prior to the start of each sports event and 30 minutes after the last game.
Modalities and Supplies
If your team is traveling with a Licensed/Certified athletic trainer, the use of the modalities will be available. If only a student athletic trainer is traveling, a letter stating the modality needed and any further treatments will be required 48 hours prior for use.
If your athletic team is not traveling with a Licensed/Certified athletic trainer or athletic training student, the treatments will be limited to ice bags, heat packs, preventative taping and first aid supplies. You will need to provide appropriate supplies for the taping needs of your student-athletes and a letter with instructions 48 hours prior to the event. Please instruct athletes and coaches to report for treatment and taping during half-time of the game prior.
The hot and cold whirlpools will also be available. If you wish to use these you must provide your own towels.
The athletic training room will not be opened for practices prior to competition unless requested. The athletic training staff will not provide shower towels for visiting teams.
Field Setup
Water and racks of bottles will be provided, along with a first aid kit with basic supplies.
