Portfolio Assignment 4: My Résumé- Creating a College Ready Resume
Instructions:
A resume (with or without the acute accent marks) is also called a curriculum vitae or CV. By any name, it serves as a useful, all-purpose summary of your educational and work history. The resume that may have worked for you in high school will not get you the opportunity you are looking for in college. Use the resources in Optimal Resume below to create or update your resume. Have it reviewed by a career counselor/advisor in the Career Center to make sure it is high quality. Jobs, internships, work-study, and leadership positions at Willamette require a college level quality resume.

Step 2
Email the Career Center for a full review of your resume at
Step 3
Upload your College Ready Resume to your e-Portfolio by clicking on “Home” on the horizontal navigation bar, then clicking “My Resume” on the left vertical navigation bar.
Note: When you upload your resume in the Portfolio it may lose formatting, so you will have to play with the layout a little bit to make it look right. We recommend doing this in the e-Portfolio page since it is easier for an advisor to preview. You might also want to add a link to your resume in a PDF format here so that your advisor can see the best format and layout.
