A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in loving memory and honor of Norman Lee Davis.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Norman Lee Davis, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.
WHEREAS, Norman Lee Davis was born on November 18, 1948, a native of Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky, and longtime resident of Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on February 14, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Norman Lee Davis was the loving son of the Reverend Leroy Davis and Elsie Gaffney Davis, and he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Steven Davis; he was the devoted husband of Mary Adrianne Arnold Davis, he was the loving father of two sons, Anthony Arnold Davis and Christopher Lee Davis of Lancaster, and he was the proud grandfather of two step-grandchildren, Brandi and Brittany Rhodus; and he is also survived by two brothers, Barry Davis of Lancaster and Roger Davis of Bowling Green, and two sisters, Joe Ann Amon of Lancaster and Nora Williams of London; and
WHEREAS, Norman Lee Davis was an esteemed member of the Garrard County community where he graduated from Garrard County High School and was a member of the 1968 Kentucky All-Star Football Team, and where he was also a former assistant football coach, and a member of the Garrard County Basketball Boosters Club; he was the owner of Lee's Famous Recipe in Lancaster, a former Lancaster police officer, a former magistrate on the Garrard County Fiscal Court, a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church, and a member of Lancaster Lodge No. 104 F & A M, Danville York Rite Bodies, and the Oleika Shrine Temple; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Norman Lee Davis has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate does hereby express its utter sense of bereavement upon the passing of Norman Lee Davis, and extends to his family and many friends its most profound and deepest sympathy.
Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Norman Lee Davis.
Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit copies of this Resolution to Mrs. Mary Adrianne Davis, 214 Lexington Street, Lancaster, Kentucky 40444; the Reverend Leroy and Elsie Gaffney Davis, 407 Crab Orchard Street, Lancaster, Kentucky 40444; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil B.
