Dear Symphony Supporter,
It is with great pleasure I introduce myself to you as this year’s Twenty-Fourth Presentation Ball Chairman. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League’s Twenty-Fourth Presentation Ball will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the MortonH.MeyersonSymphonyCenter. Home to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the MeyersonSymphonyCenter has served as the heart of the now rapidly expanding Dallas Arts District. since 1989. and is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary .
While bringing together generations of Dallas families, the funds raised from this event have enabled the Symphony to maintain its high standard of excellence for not only the Classical, Distinguished Artist and Pop Series, but also for such quality education and community outreach programs as the Youth Concert Series, Heartstrings Program, Special Students at the Symphony performances for the physically challenged, Youth Education Services (Y.E.S.) and the nationally recognized Access Dallas Symphony Program for the visually impaired and blind.
On behalf of the Presentation Ball Committee and The Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, we invite you to nominate Debutante and Honor Guard candidates for the 2010 Presentation Ball. By completing and returning this form, you will help ensure priority consideration for your candidate(s) as Dallas Symphony Debutantes and Honor Guard members. Please note that Debutante candidates must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college the year she is presented (2009-2010); Honor Guard candidates must be 21 by the date of the Ball (February 6, 2010).
The Ball itself includes a year of wonderful activities enjoyed by our Dallas Symphony Debutantes, Honor Guard, their parents, friends and families. The 2010 Ball Committee is already working to ensure that our 2010 Ball participants continue this tradition of having an exciting and memorable year.
