CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

24 JANUARY 2015, COMMENCING 11.30AM
Thank you for your entry to the Midland Counties Cross Country Association Championships to be held at Wollaton Park Nottingham. Travel details to the venue, and a timetable and maps of the course can be found on our Website and will be sent to all clubs entered.
Collection of Numbers/Chips: only U13 Boys/Girls /U20 Men & U15 Boys can be picked up before 12 noon and only by team managers /club secretaries (do not forget your pins)
Numbers x2 will be in the pack with the chips.
ALL AGE GROUPS ARE USING CHIPS.
All chips to be returned in the sacks provided at the finish area. Failure to do so will result in a £7 charge per missing chip and disqualification.
We also would ask you to remind your athletes and supporters to respect the rules and regulations of the Association and behave in a fit and proper manner to other users of WollatonPark i.e. members of the public, fellow athletes and supporters.
Please note: This year a cut off time of approx. 75 minutes is being introduced, Athletes still on the course can continue to finish but parts of the course will start to be dismantled after this cut off time.

Travel Directions for Cars / Coaches
From the West, M1 Junction 25 follow A52 into Nottingham for 3 miles to PrioryIsland (Toby Inn), continue straight on A52 Derby Road.
WollatonPark is on your left, The University of Nottingham is on your right for ¾ mile until you reach the Q.M.C.Island. Turn left onto the Nottingham ring road A6514 (signed Mansfield A60 / M1 North).
Continue ½ mile to CrownIsland / A609 Turn left (signed Ilkeston / WollatonPark) for ¾ mile to the Wheelhouse Pub (on right). Take left fork in road to Wollaton Park Main Gates 200 yards.
From the South, M1 Junction 24 take the A453 for 6 miles passing NottinghamTrentUniversity on the left.
(Note: Major roadwork’s from M1 for 6 miles. 40 mph limit. Can be very slow at busy times and maybe quicker from J25 as above).
Downhill just after NottinghamTrentUniversity major roadwork’s on cross roads. After these lights get into right hand lane – road rises and curves left to merge with A52 / Nottingham Ring Road over CliftonBridge / River Trent. Follow ring road (signed Mansfield A60 / M1 North) past Showcase Cinema on left. Get into the middle lane which leads onto Dunkirk Flyover.
University of Nottingham is on the left, Queens Medical Centre on the right. Continue straight on the ring road through the underpass, the road becomes the A6514 for ½ mile to CrownIsland / A609. Turn left (signed Ilkeston / WollatonPark) for ¾ to Wheelhouse Pub (on right).
Take left fork in road to WollatonPark gates in 200 yds.
From the East A52 to CliftonBridge / River Trent then as above.
From the North M1 Junction 26 follow A610 into Nottingham for 3 miles to A6514 Nottingham Ring Road. Turn right (signed Derby A52 / Birmingham A453) for 1 mile to CrownIsland (Crown Pub on right).
Turn right onto Island and follow A609 Ilkeston for ¾ mile to traffic lights at Wheelhouse Pub (on right). Take left fork in road to WollatonPark gates in 200 yds.
Coaches / Minibuses must obtain a permit to use WollatonPark. Apply to .
Car Parking is Pay and Display. £2 for 3 hours, £4 all day. Note: - Indiscriminate illegal and careless parking on the surrounding streets will be lifted by the Council and taken to the Council compound. Release fees are expensive. Remember, they have seen it all and heard all of the excuses before. You have been warned!
