You are duly summoned to attend the next meeting of Modbury Parish Council to be held at 7.00pm on Monday 11thJuly 2016 in the Pavilion.
1. Apologies: To receive apologies and to approve reasons for absence
2. Open Forum: residents are invited to give their views and question the Parish Council on issues on
this agenda, or raise issues for future consideration at the discretion of the Chairman, before the start
of the Parish Council Meeting which will commence at the Parish Council Meeting which will
commence at 7.30pm. Members of the public may not take part in the Parish Council meeting itself.
3. District Councillors’ Reports. (Items raised for decision will appear on the agenda for the next
meeting.)
4. Devon Councillor’s Report for information. (Items raised for decision will appear on the agenda

8. Minutes of Annual General Meeting of 13th June 2016
a) To consider approval of the minutes (distributed earlier) and;
b)Clerk will review/report on progress of actions (as necessary) inAppendix II Action Plan noted at previous meetings (circulated by email to councilors prior to the meeting).
9. Finance and Human Resources
To considerthe payments as listed in Appendix 1;
10. Palm Cross Green Development- General update.
11. Committees and working groups:
To receive brief updates from the following committees and groups(if applicable):
Communications/ Neighbourhood Plan / Maintenance / Emergency Plan/Bus Stop Working Group/Parish Office Task Group.
12. To discussthe feasibility of the Town Square Project; Modbury Parish Council’s representation on this; whether or not there is a possibility of funding from the Coastal Community Fund (Lottery funding of £35 million); and how to move forwardwith this project.
13. To consider the request at the last meeting for a Memorial to the late Phil Andrews in recognition of his contributions to Modbury since 1961.
14. To consider the request that a notice is erected at theMillenium Meadow to remind people that the fields are an area of peace and quiet.
15. To considerwhether Modbury Parish Council wish to takeon the responsibility for Modbury School Swimming Pool for community use now that further information has been received.
16. Correspondence
a) To consider the request for a Fire - Beacon, designed and built for use on official occasions
(Mr Simms email of 19th May 2016).
b) To discuss the situation regarding Modbury’s Tree Warden highlighted in Brian Weeks’s email
of14th June.
c)To discussAF Brown & Sons email of23rd June regarding amendments to the Temporary
Traffic Order - Brownston Street, Modbury (TTRO1613499)
d) To consider the various emails sent and received regarding theMARS Marley
Building/Scout hut
e) To discuss Dan Turner’s email of 29th June regarding the provision of Internships by local
Modbury businesses.
f) To discuss MPC’s response to thePlymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan (various
emails) - deadline 12th August.
