Congratulations on your promotion/transfer and welcome to your new position with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service (NCCES). This letter serves to formalize your promotion/transfer to the County Operations Support Staff (COSS) position of County Extension Administrative Secretary/Program Associate effective Effective Date. Your gross annual salary is Annual Salary with State Percent (State Salary) to be paid by the University and County Percent (County Salary) to be paid by County County. This position is salary grade Salary Grade (Sec.only).
This is a full/part-time position that is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Your work hours are set by your supervisor and the county office schedule to meet the needs of the office and NCCE clients, however, depending on the workload, the work schedule may vary and additional hours may be required. Based on organizational, programmatic, and/or staffing needs, the areas of responsibility, as well as work location, are subject to change during the course of your employment. CED's Name, County County Extension Director, will be your direct supervisor. Your plan of work is to be completed by your supervisor within the first 30 days of your employment. Your performance, salary, and responsibilities will be reviewed annually according to established University requirements and NCCES standards.
As a promotional/transferred COSS employee with continuing State of North Carolina employment, you will remain in a permanent employment status. Your employment is contingent upon background checks and verification of credentials.
This letter constitutes the full terms of our employment offer and supersedes all other commitments, either written or verbal, that may have been made to you. The attached addendum is incorporated as part of this offer. Please acknowledge your agreement and acceptance of this offer by signing this letter, and its incorporated addendum, and returning both original, signed pages to me immediately. I recommend that you keep a copy for your records.
