The PotomacValley Track Club is a club for all ages, all paces, and all ways which has served the greater Washington, D.C. area, Virginia, and Marylandsince 1972. Some of our legendary athlete members include World and American Record Holders
Dr. Jim Stookey, Audrey Lary, Bruce McBarnette, Larry Colbert, and former Olympians Jim Barrineau, and Carla Convery. Other local top competitors at our meets in the past have included Alan Webb, Renaldo Nehemiah, Glenn Thompson, Warren Taylor, Tom Jones, Oscar Peyton, and
Hillen von Stubbendorf.
We expect numerous world record holders and past Olympians to compete this year. In recent years the USATF Masters competitors included Frank Shorter, Bill Rodgers, Joan Benoit Samuelson, and Sullivan Award finalist Philippa Raschker. And other famous notables – former professional football players, Todd Christianson, James Lofton, Willie Gault, Ricky Irvins, and Fred Barnett.
