SUMMARY OF INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR INTERVIEW
Please complete the attached Business Feasibility Study (This is a guide to help you prepare for the NEIS interview). It is important that you gather and record as much of the requested information as possible to assist in the assessment for your readiness to enter the NEIS program.)
The following is a summary of information requested in the Business Feasibility Study:-
A brief outline of the proposed business, including its objectives
Why do you want to do this?
Detail regarding capital and financial requirements to commence thebusiness
- What business assets do you currently own – make a list
- What do you need to acquire – make a list
- How much money do you need and where will you get it?
Pricing Policy and Rationale. How did you calculate the cost of producing your product/service. (Competition, Industry pricing policy)?
Expected turnover in the 1st year – How did you calculate this?
What will be the main expenses – make a list
Evidence of market research, for example:
- Surveys
- Questionnaires
- Statistics
- Databases
- Media articles
- Results of market testing
- Letters of Intent
Provide data on competition for the business. Who are the main competitors?
Competitive Advantage
Samples of advertising and/or promotional activity for the business
Business Name Registration (or evidence of research on requirements).
ABN/GST Registration (or evidence of research undertaken on requirements).
Details of essential licences and permits required for the business
Insurance requirements (provide Quote or evidence of research
undertaken on requirements).
Proposed premises – Home based or commercial premises
Ownership structure – Sole trader/Partnership or Company
Current resume relevant qualifications
