Ralph M. Rudie
MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
2015 – 2016
TheRalph M. Rudie Memorial Scholarship is available to a graduating senior of the Sheboygan Area School District who intends to further his/her education at a technical college of their choice.
Ralph M. Rudie was born in 1925. At an early age family circumstances necessitated that he set aside his own high school education to help support his mother and 5 sibling brothers and sisters. By the age of 18, he was serving his country overseas in World War II and sending his military pay home to continue his family support. After he returned home, married and started his own family, Ralph was diligent about advancing his education. He was an avid reader, master of crossword puzzles, and enrolled in night classes for math and algebra at the local schools to further enhance his education and job skills at Plastics Engineering Co., where he was employed for more than 35 years until his retirement.
This memorial scholarship is in Ralph’s honor, to promote his belief that everyone is capable of self-improvement, and to assist another student to pursue their goal of furthering their education.
The amount of the one-time scholarship award is $200. The Sheboygan Public Education Foundation administers this scholarship on behalf of the Rudie family and friends.
