Path Driver for Reading
How do I access a list of students who have not yet screened?
- Log into the Management System
 - Click Reports tab at top of page
 - Choose Path Driver for Reading (or Math)
 - Under Class choose Screening details
 - Choose screening period: Winter
 - Scroll below graph
 - Group by: risk
 - Scroll to the bottom group of students with No results. These are students who have not yet been screened.
 
How do I copy an existing class to another program?
- Log into the Management System
 - Click Classes tab at top of page
 - In left panel, choose Path Driver for Reading (or Math)
 - Under Classes, choose Registry list
 - Click on blue link of class to be copied
 - Checkmark beside Student name to checkmark all students in class
 - Click Copy class button at bottom right
 
- In middle of page under Program, choose program to be copied to: Path Driver for Math, MCI Online, etc.
 - At bottom of the page, click Create class
 
At what grade level do I assign progress monitoring?
- Universal Screening is given at GRADE LEVEL; progress monitoring is assigned at the student’s INSTRUCTIONAL LEVEL
 - When assigning progress monitoring, the system will assign the correct instructional level, as long as you choose Instructional Level
 - Based on the student’s screening score, the system will assign his or her instructional level
 
During screening, students often forget their user names and passwords. How do I print a copy?
- Log into the Management System
 - Click Classes tab at top of page
 - In left panel, choose Path Driver for Reading (or Math)
 - Under Classes, choose Registry list
 - Click on blue link of class to be printed
 - Toward the top right, click Printer Friendly and Print
 
Now that I have begun progress monitoring, do I schedule Spring Universal Screening differently?
When you are ready to schedule Spring Universal Screening:
- Cancel the progress monitoring schedule
 - Log into the Management System
 - Click Reports tab at top of page
 - Choose Path Driver for Reading (or Math)
 - Under Student tools (or Class tools), choose Schedule progress monitoring tests
 - Scroll down to the Progress Monitor Scheduler
 - At the bottom right, click Cancel schedule button
 
- Schedule Spring Universal Screening Maze tests for all students
 - Under Class tools, click Schedule universal screening tests
 
- Step 1: Checkmark class
 - Step 2: Checkmark Spring
 - Start date: today
 - End date: 30 June 2014
 - Select test type: Maze only
 - Step 3: Click Apply schedule and OK
 
•Also Schedule Spring Universal Screening ORF tests for selected students
- Note: You maywant to schedule ORF later when selected students have access to computers with recordable headsets
 - During testing, students are given ORF first and Maze second
 
- Under Student tools, click Schedule universal screening tests
 - Step 1: Checkmark students
 
- Step 2: Checkmark Spring
 - Start date: today
 - End date: 30 June 2014
 - Select test type: ORF only
 - Step 3: Click Apply schedule and OK
 
•Reschedule progress monitoring
- Allow reports to populate with new Spring Screening data (overnight)
 - At top of page, click on Classes tab
 - In left panel, choose Path Driver for Reading
 - Under Student tools, choose Schedule progress monitoring tests
 - Choose Spring screening results
 - Checkmark students to be progress monitored
 - Note student’s current instructional level (6th column)
 - Scroll lower on the page to the Progress monitor scheduler
 - Starting date = today
 - Ending date = end of year
 - Choose Frequency = every two weeks
 - Choose Test type = Maze and ORF
 - Choose level = Instructional
 - Click Apply new schedule and OK

What does Teacher Time mean in MCI Online?
In the Online Part 1 of MCIO, students will:
- Take the program pre-test (10-15 min)
 - Take the Maze tests (if assigned) (10-15 min)
 - Take the Skill Test (i.e. in Crimson: Compare and Contrast) (10-15 min)
 - Watch an introductory video to Unit 1: (i.e. Unit 1 in Crimson: Athletic Adventures) (5 min)
 
At this point, the Print Part 1 begins.
- Students should not go on to Online Part 2 until they have finishedPrint Part 1
 - To prevent students from continuing, a Teacher Time places them on hold
 - Only students assigned to take Maze tests will use the computer during Print Part 1
 - Print Part 1 consists of teacher-led instruction using Comprehension Student Editions: Text 1, Text 2, Text 3
 - When ready for Online Part 2, Teacher Times should be released
 
- This can be done at the student’s computer using your user name and password OR for the entire class in the Management System.
