dwt-Zelte offers a wide range for individual camping needs

The awning producer from Germany, dwt-Zelte, presents a range which has the right product for every camper; whether newcomers, occasional campers or long-term campers. The product assortment ranges from full and part awnings through to mobile home awnings and sunroofs. The quality, the functionality and the attractive design of the product are top priorities at dwt. The company offers its range through selected traders with awning showrooms.

The German company dwt-Zelte GmbH from Baunatal near Frankfurthas been designing and producing awnings for camping and caravanning for more than 20 years. We must always consider that camping sites and camping habits among holiday makers vary greatly. The product diversity from dwt-Zelteprovides the right response because the assortment ranges from full and part awnings through to sunroofs and mobile home awnings.

Full awnings

The “Loft” is an extra special light touring awning with respect to quality, features and weight. The camper can almost experience an alfresco feeling because all walls can be removed as required. All of the segments can be folded down to achieve the popular veranda effect. Large ventilation windows in each side wall and six possible entrance doors allow the awning to be flexibly adapted. The “Korada” model also provides a feeling of comfort. The homely atmosphere with removable front and side walls is available in awning depths of 240 centimetres – this creates a good amount of space. The awning is easy to take care of thanks to the Scotchguard impregnation. The option of an annex on the right or left side extends the “Korada”or the “Loft” model to provide additional storage opportunities. Both the “Korada” and “Loft” awnings are offered in the colours blue and Bordeaux-red. The third model in the full awning range is the “Royal 240/300”.This is available in depths of 240 and 300 centimetres. High quality materials, efficient cross-ventilation and flexible wall sections which can be removed and folded down into a veranda are the characteristics of this awning together with the attractive, modern curved shape of the roof. An annex is also available for the“Royal 240/300”.

Part awnings

The individual highlight “Gala” provides space and makes a statement with its fresh colours and dynamic, energetic design. A well-conceived frame system gives the model the right shape. The “Union Alu” is characterised by the rounded, contemporary shape but the main aspect is its flexibility: it can be a part awning, a windbreak and a sunroof. The “Bristol II” is an ideal companion for touring and seasonal campers. The reason is its sophisticated combination of materials made of a washable roof and high quality leacrylic walls. Side ventilation windows and the upper ventilation flaps allow the awning to breathe.

Mobile home awnings

The “Fjord III” creates individual comfort. The awning is freestanding but can be fixed to the roof railing of a camper van or a mini-van with Velcro fasteners. In the same way as the “Sprint” and “Maxum” models, the camper can easily attach a groundsheet or an inner tent using the zips around the edges. The “Sprint” model also makes a statement with its extensive features and clear, fresh look. The sturdy frame construction guarantees stability while the contrasting colours of frame channels provide a pleasing accent. The “Maxum” mobile home awning also has the option of fixing a sun canopy to the front with concealed zips.

Sunroofs

The models in the dwt sunroof collection are called “Lotus”, “Foyer”, “Delta”, “Flair Vario Modul”, “Flora”and “Tour Plus”. The “Lotus” looks similar to an umbrella; whether to protect against sun or rain – the Lotus is available for a tiny price. The “Foyer” and “Delta” impress with their clear, minimalistic and straight lines. The blue tinted window films not only provide the necessary UV protection but also ensure a trendy look. The “Flair Vario Modul” is an extremely flexible model which is available in 14 different orbital dimensions. But the sunroof has even more to offer: accentuated coloured side walls provide additional protection and the matching front wall makes the model into an awning. The “Flora” sunroof can be used extremely flexibly as a mobile carport on the back of the caravan, as a protective roof for drinks and other equipment or on the side wall as a canopy to offer a shaded place to sit. The varied uses of the “Tour Plus” model are similar. The ultra-light sunroof can be placed on the long side of the caravan or on the left or right depending on the position of the sun or the wind direction.

Our own frame solutions

The company also produces its own frame solutions in the Saxon town of Niesky near to Dresden. Whether touring or long-term camping, whether winter camping or bright sunshine; dwt offers an alternative to the sturdy steel frame, namely a light aluminium frame. The so-called GripStop system for both frame types even saves painstaking securing of screws. With a safe clamp mechanism, the poles are easily and quickly pressed together.
