Daily work and assignments: 10%

Standards: 90%

PCC Grading Outlines:

The instructor reserves the right to modify course content and/or substitute assignments and learning activities in response to institutional, weather or class situations.

Standards:

Standards for the child development program are designed from the Oregon Department of Education standards (ODE), National Standards (NAEYC) and Industry Standards. At this time the standards for this course are being designed in a way that they best meet the needs of high school students. The standards will be introduced as they are finalized.

Late work:

If you are absent when an assignment is assigned and the absence is an EXCUSED absence you have 3 days to turn in the assignment once you return to school. If the assignment was assigned while you were in class the due date stays the same, as long as the assignment can be emailed. All assignments have a personal management grade – each day an assignment is late you will lose 10% of the personal management grade. This includes weekends for assignments that can be emailed as attachments. Make up work for missed project times and teaching times can be found at the class website. Late work will be graded at my convenience.

Addendum to Course Description:

  1. Regular attendance is required.

Visiting with others regarding things not related to preschool and just sitting around is considered as non participation.

Absences can be excused through the attendance office at the high school and it is asked that you email Mrs. Grabhorn to let her know you are going to be gone. This is a career technical class.
