Annual Report from the Executive Director
November, 2017
To the Southern California Swimming Board of Directors and House of Delegates:
SCS can be proud of so much in 2017: successful team trips for the Pacific Coast All Stars, NACC and Western Zone teams, a spirited competition at the Festival, an amazing 2-day set of camps for Diversity & Inclusion athletes and parents, formation of a new Athletes’ Committee, and over $207,000 in club support funds were sent to over 40 teams attending World Champ Trials, Nationals, Juniors, Open Water and Futures events.
3000+ participated in our JAG, WAG, and JO meets, Ronald Dalmacio (ROSE)broke a national record, TSM Coach Dave Kelsheimer wasnamed to the TEAM USA staff for World Champs, and we had almost a dozen swimmers with SCS connections on the World Champ team roster, as well as 5 swimmers on the World Junior Champs roster and 5 on the World University Games team. Also, SAND Coach Ron Aitken was named USA Swimming Developmental Coach of the Year. So much to be proud of, indeed!
