PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Any current SC FBLA member that has at least one school year remaining may submit an application to run for an elected National FBLA Office.** In addition to the requirements provided by the National Office, SC FBLA candidates will abide by the following:
- Must have completed ALL BAA February 28, 2018.
- Complete and return this application no later than December 13, 2017. (Applications accepted Dec 6-13th.)
- Submit one copy of the proposed candidate’s campaign brochure to the State Officers’ Adviser by February 28, 2018.After State Directorsand/or Executive Board approval, the candidate will duplicate 350 copies to bring to the State Leadership Conference prior to registration on the first day.
- Candidates will be interviewed by a nominating committee at the last SC FBLA Executive Board Meeting for the current year, March 3, 2018.
- If there is more than one national officer candidate, it is required that the candidates will have an information table at the State Leadership Conference. Candidates will distribute copies of ONE campaign brochure at this time and speak to members and advisers on their decision to run for a national office.
- It is required that all candidates present campaign speeches at the Opening General Session of the State Leadership Conference.
- The voting delegates will vote for the one candidate to represent South CarolinaFBLA at the FBLA National Leadership Conference. This voting will take place during the State Officer Voting Session at the State Leadership Conference.

**Any member of the First-Place Parliamentary Procedures team representing the state at the National Leadership Conference, or the individual who scored the highest on the written Parliamentary Procedures test at the SLC, may submit an application to apply for the office of National Parliamentarian.
