CLASS TITLE:SYSTEMS PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR - SES

ALLOCATION FACTOR(S)

This is administrative and technical work as follows: 1) directing project team(s) in the analysis, design, development and implementation of comprehensive management information systems; or 2) directing one or more primary functional areas in a staff capacity for a data center which includes, but is not limited to, the information resource center function, security function, or Information Resource Commission planning function.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Directs the activities of assigned data center personnel in the planning, scheduling and implementation of a comprehensive management information system.
  • Directs administrative and technical work of project teams in systems planning studies, information needs assessments and systems analysis, reviewing approaches and methods to assess effectiveness in meeting management objectives.
  • Serves as consultant to higher level supervisory and/or administrative personnel in the planning of major systems.
  • Consults with user agencies to gather information and determine requirements for implementation of comprehensive management information systems.
  • Coordinates implementation of changes recommended by project teams and the development of corollary training or support for systems implementation.
  • Conducts major systems studies to determine requirements for implementation of a comprehensive management information system.
  • Schedules assigned data center personnel and equipment to ensure proper implementation and operation of the system.
  • Assures completeness and accuracy of the systems design, programming and implementation.
  • Confers with program representatives in reviewing operations to identify management problem areas, specific information requirements and to discuss project findings.
  • Establishes system priorities and allocation of available resources for the section.
  • Coordinates and/or participates in the development and implementation of operational policies plans for the integration of all departmental information systems.
  • Performs related work as required.
