Important Benefits Announcement
Great news!
On March 10, 2014, we’re rolling out new services that will make it easier for you to manage your consumer-driven health plan, such as flexible spending accounts.
These features are coming soon to make managing your benefits as easy as 1-2-3:
1. An easy-to-use Consumer Portal will allow secure, 24/7 access to your accounts through the existing UMR member portal. Use it to:
· Check your up-to-the-minute plan balances
· View all plan, claims and payment details
· File claims and submit receipts online
· View upcoming reimbursements
· Review explanation of benefits (EOB) statements with a new look and feel, allowing you to easily understand the processing of your claim
· And much more
2 A handy Mobile Application (UMR Consumer Driven Health) will become available during 2014 and allow you to:
· Manage your account on your iPhone®, iPod Touch®, iPad® or
Android®-powered device
· Access check balances, view account activity and submit claims
· Submit receipts using your device’s camera
Please note, you will need to log in to your FSA consumer portal on the UMR Web site prior to downloading the app or attempting to log in for the first time.
You will experience a small transition period, during which claims will not be processed or paid. The transition period begins March 4, 2014. We will resume processing and paying claims March 10, 2014. We will make every attempt to process and pay all claims received prior to the transition date.
All changes to existing enrollment information, including demographic and election information, starting February 27, 2014, will be placed on hold and will be entered by UMR on March 10, 2014. Payroll contributions will continue to be processed through March 4, 2014. Please note, dependent care FSA reimbursements may be delayed if your payroll contributions would normally be processed during this timeframe.
We are excited about these new capabilities and are confident they will increase the value of our services to you.
Sincerely,
Your UMR Consumer Driven Health Team
