PiYo – exercise classes
Classes; Wed, Sept 27 through Nov 15
Where; Glenburn School Caf
Time; 6:30-7:30pm every Wed for 8 weeks
Fee; $40 for all 8 weeks, that’s only $5 per class
Pre-register at the Glenburn Town Office now – Sept 26 / registration will also be accepted at the door at first class
Minimum of 7 participants required first class to keep classes continuing
Note, after the first class, the fee is $8 per class, but again need 7 the first night to keep the class here in Glenburn.
Come join the group and bring a friend, socialize a bit, and get some exercise too.
Coed Volleyball
Starting Wednesday, Sept 13 and running through October 18
Where; Glenburn gym
Time; 6:30-8:30pm every Wed for 6 weeks
Fee; $1 per night at the door
Looking for at least 8 people to play, can take up to 18. These are for those who want to play some friendly, pick-up games not competitive. Stop in, bring a friend, and be ready to have some fun & laughs, along with some exercise.

10-20people max / doors close @ 7:45 or when full!
ID’s may be requested upon arrival to prove residency
Time; 7:30-9pm
Fee; $15 for season or $1 per night at the door
GLENBURN LITTLE LEAGUE 2017-18
Sept 25 at 6:30pm at the Glenburn Town Office, the Glenburn Little League will be hosting its annual start-up meeting.
The agenda consists of wrapping up the 2017 season with current president, and elections for the 2018 board.
This past season there were a LOT of vacant seats, we are hoping to change that and get more of you involved this coming season. There are 12 positions up for renewal each year, so if you love baseball/softball, are full of positive energy, and want to be part of the board that is responsible to put our great program together this IS the time, and we would LOVE to have you. Hope you consider joining us, new faces are always nice to see J
UPCOMING REGISTRATIONS;
TRAVEL BASKETBALL – 3RD THROUGH 6TH GRADE
Registrations will be open pre-register for this program Oct 3- Oct 20Quick overview; To be eligible to try-out for a travel team you must be playing on one of our rec teams or a school team. This program is meant for those who want a more competive program to enhance their seasons. The travel season includes a 10 game schedule / playoffs for 5-8th grade teams / 3 post season tournaments.
Teams are setup for ¾ boys, ¾ girls, 5/6 boys, 5/6 girls, 7/8 boys & 7/8 girls, players NEED to attend tryouts to be considered.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS; tryouts will be held the week of Oct 23 schedule below;
3-4th Girls & Boys – Oct 23 from 6-7pm
5-6th girls - Oct 23 from 7:15-8:15
5-6 boys - Oct 24 from 6-7pm
7-8 boys - Oct 24 from 7:15-8:15
7-8 Girls - Oct 26 from 6-7pm
5-8th grade teams have 2 practices per week, 1 game on the weekend and our ¾ grade teams have 1 practice per week – 1 game on the weekend
Coaching positions are all reopened every season if you are interested in being a head coach or an assistant be sure to fill out the volunteer application at the town office when you register your child to play. Last year we had coaches doing multiple teams and it was too much, we really need more people to apply, goal is to have 2 different sets of coaches per team, please consider volunteering as a coach, for this fun competitive youth basketball program.
REC BASKETBALL – PREK THROUGH 6TH GRADE
Registrations will be open for this program Oct 3- Oct 27, (start Sat, Nov 4) registration will remain open for Prek-1st through Dec 15, (start Sat, Jan 6) must pre-register for any age group. More information to come in next newsletter.Quick overview; This is our “In House”, equal play program, a great place to start and work on your fundamental skills of basketball.
Grades 2-6th have a practice each week and 1 game on the weekends, ending the Saturday before Feb vacation. The Prek-1st grade groups will meet on Saturdays only, Prk/K are in the AM our 1st graders are early afternoon
You need to know that neither one of these basketball programs, conflict with each other, or the school teams. If you want basketball the opportunity is here!
