On July 29, 2011, The Edenton Police Department began making arrests as a result of an undercover drug operation entitled “Operation Take Down”. This covert operation targeted street level drug sales in the Town of Edenton, and demonstrates The Edenton Police Departments commitment to reduce crime, maintain, and improve the quality of life for the citizens of Edenton. Operation Take Down was initiated with the ongoing cooperation and information from the citizens of Edenton, and is only one part of our constant commitment to stop the illicit drug trade within the Town of Edenton.
The following individuals have been arrested to date, and more arrests are forthcoming.
