Developing and Maintaining a Positive Learning Environment in Your Classroom (#245) Classroom management has always been a topic of concern for teachers, particularly those beginning their teaching careers. Surveys of novice teachers indicate that even when they have mastery of content knowledge and delivery technique, they often lack confidence managing their classrooms. This course offers strategies that will enable teachers to shape the management of their classrooms by building relationships with students, establishing procedures, and planning lessons. Beginning teachers who have completed a teacher preparation program as well as those who are entering the profession via alternative routes will benefit from this module. It will also help veteran teachers who would like to refresh their management techniques.
Differentiation in the Classroom (#182) This mini-module is designed to provide participants with an overview of differentiation. Participants will develop a basic understanding of differentiation, will delve into the elements of differentiation, and will explore various strategies that can be utilized in the classroom. Upon completion, participants will be able to apply their new knowledge in their learning environment to meet the individual needs of their students and will be able to identify resources in order to deepen their understanding.
Effective PLCs (#87) This mini-module provides teachers and administrators with important information and resources to build and grow Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). The mini-module begins with basic information about PLCs and why PLCs are currently crucial.
