A car accident nearly happened to me and my Ford Focus ‘cause again I was in a fog, I was under the weather – a splitting headache after quarrelling with my girlfriend Angela. The only thing I could see was the Statue of Liberty – I was almost blind with rage and… without my glasses – Angela smashed them in the heat of the anger.

Nick (Nickolay):

I went fishing with my new friends to the Island of Rest (Островотдыха). It was rather cold, so we had to drink several bottles of Stolichnaya. Some hours later I was under the weather and fell asleep. The next morning I woke up right as rain and… I wanted to call the militia but where was my cellular phone? It never rains but it pours! I found neither my friends nor my car. I explored the banks of the Yenisei river – it was in vain. The only thing I saw t last was a small note in a pocket of my jacket (thanks God, they left my jacket) with the words: Nick, you’re not only a nut but also the biggest fish we’ve caught this week!

Giulietta:

I had a dream of marrying a romantic man. My friends laughed at me and said that it was a rainbow hunt. But I had a foggy idea that my dream would come true. And I met Him! He is a poet and a fisherman. Here he comes!

(Her husband’s voice is approaching:

Oh, my romantic love of thirty summers! Against a rainy day we have a fish and for the whole life we have the love! No falls, just springs our love will have, no matter how old we get!)

We live in Cagliari port. It’s to the south-west of the country and the island. The name of the island is special. I think it is called so because fishermen catch sardines here.
