SouthlakeTennisCenter Available Programs

The SouthlakeTennisCenter is a public tennis facility owned by the City of Southlake. The center has 13 lighted hard courts available for rental on an hourly basis.

The SouthlakeTennisCenter offers a variety of programs, including private and group lessons with eight USPTA certified teaching pros. The Director of Tennis, Stephen Poorman, played college and professional tennis, coached at the college level and at the U.S. Open. The teaching staff has a strong background as both players and instructors.

The Pro Shop offers a full range of tennis equipment, including racquets, clothes, shoes and tennis accessories.

Court fees are $3.00 for Southlake residents and $4.00 for non-residents. Fees pay for one hour of court time.

The hours of operation for the facility are as follows:

  • Monday-Thursday 8:30am – 9:00pm
  • Friday 8:30am – 7:00pm
  • Saturday 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Sunday 11:00am – 5:00pm

Adult Activities:

Leagues, tournaments, adult camps, and workouts for adults throughout the year.

Drop-in drills are a fast paced workout for men and women. Drills are $15 per session or $50 for a series of 4. Players are placed on court by ability. The center runs 12 drills a week, including Cardio Tennis and strategy drills.

Instant Tennis for Adult Beginners is an eight-week class for adult beginners. This class includes one hour of instruction and half an hour of doubles for both men and women. Classes form every four weeks.

The Fidelity Southlake Women’s Pro Classic is a USTA professional tennis tournament that the center hosts annually in October. All proceeds from the event go to the Leslie’s Hope Tennis Foundation, which supports charities.

Junior Activities:

The SouthlakeTennisCenter offers classes with low student-pro ratios which provide the individualized attention required to help children develop a love for the game.

The junior class schedule is as follows:

Advanced training junior classes are intensive afternoon workouts for serious junior players who play or are interested in playing in junior tournaments.

Invitational workouts for juniors are held from 5:00-7:00pm during the school year and 1:00-4:00pm during the summer.

The SouthlakeTennisCenter also offers week-long summer camps for junior

Players starting at 4 years of age.

The SouthlakeTennisCenter hosts a variety of activities for juniors throughout the year including Tennis Carnivals and Play Days.
