The New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies, Inc. (NJAMHAA) is a statewide trade association representing hospital-based and freestanding organizations that provide a broad range of treatment and support services to more than 500,000 children and adults annually with mental health, behavioral, emotional and substance use disorders, developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders.
We will be accepting applications that will:
- Address the issues and challenges of treatment and support services to children and adults with mental health, behavioral, emotional and substance use disorders, developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders.
- Identify innovative strategies to expand and enhance the skills and the role of the behavioral healthcare workforce.
- Contribute to the adoption of evidence-based practices within treatment and other services that serve individuals holistically
- Build effective partnerships among and between organizations in developing new collaborative treatment models and recovery support services.
- Assist agencies in maximizing revenue and reducing costs in a fee-for-service environment.

PRESENTER QUALIFICATIONS:
Presenters must have professional qualifications in good standing with their professional board, if applicable, and meet one or more of the following:
- Be a faculty member of an undergraduate or graduate School of Social Work
- Have received specialized graduate or post graduate level training in the subject taught in the program
- Have extensive experience to include no less than five years of practical application or research involving the subject taught in the course
- Social work ethics courses must be presented/developed or co-presented/co-developed by a licensed social worker in good standing
WORKSHOP FORMAT:
Workshops will take place in the morning and afternoon. Each session is limited to 75 minutes in length offering one and one quarter continuing education units per session. Presentations may include up to three speakers, but one or two are preferred.
