Course aims
Learning to design utilitarian objects in 3D (CAD). Acquired skills include spatial shaping of form, based on the conditions of structure, technology and functionality while showing close consideration of market conditions. Learning to design industrial products of complex forms using 3D tools (CAD). (This includes solid forms and detail, proportion, contrast, composition, etc.). Improving computer 3D and 2D techniques, freehand drawing and presentation techniques. Analysing the information needed in the design process. Formulating design briefs, descriptions and documentation. Managing the design process (stages of execution, presentation of the design, teamwork, etc.). Students become aware of the purposes of design styles in order to be able to create their own.

3. The Licentiate degree piece can take any form: object, model, sculpture, drawing, photograph, video, photomontage, 3D visualization, animation, etc.
Assessment criteria
1. The artistic and technical value of the design solution.
2. The degree of innovation of the design solution.

4. The level of commitment to realisation and the ability to effectively translate the guidelines obtained in the course of the training, as a result of discussion and educational dialogue (mentor-disciple relationship).
Course aims
The classes aim to develop the student’s sensitivity to the significance of the designed product or the situation and elicit their attention to context in the broad sense of the word (context of space, historical and social context), in the design process. The specificity of any public space and the wide semantic range of its conception should foster openness to social and political problems occurring in those spaces; defying a form that would be subordinated only to technological and economic considerations. Throughout the course students engage in extensive individual artistic reflection on contemporary culture.
Students carry out assignments related to the designing of product, situation and place’s space. They have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a wide panorama of diverse contemporary phenomena and artistic practices, using multimedia techniques. The programme of the studio covers issues of practical skills and general knowledge.
Student projects are not limited to a particular medium, and in order to realise their work they can use any tool, the choice of means that best allows the author to best represent their idea. These can be: an object, scale model, sculpture, drawing, photograph, video, photomontage, 3D visualization, animation, etc. Of key importance to the resultant design is the analysis of social, historical or artistic phenomena. Students are required to observe and interpret.
