1. ANNOUNCEMENT:
The BRISBANE MOTORCYCLE CLUB INC, hereafter called the PROMOTING CLUB will conduct Series Closed to Club Day CLASSIC AND EVOLUTION MOTOCROSS for Seniors at HARRISVILLE as per Permit Applications applied for.
2. JURISDICTION:
2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by MQ who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number (TBA] and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia National, One Meeting Licences s who are full financial members of the Promoting Club (no discount or one day memberships are allowed).
2.2. The meeting will be held in accordance with the current Manual of Motorcycle Sport General Competition Rules (GCR’s), these Supplementary Regulations, and any Final Instructions approved by MQ.
BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS.
3. ENTRIES:
3.1 Entries open forthwith and will be accepted ONLINE at www.nominate.com.au or by

Entries close midnight Sunday 2 weeks prior to the meeting;

3.2 Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Brisbane Motorcycle Club Inc, subject to availability and will incur a late fee of $25.
3.3 ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON THE DAY OF THE MEETINGS
3.4 In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Club, if such retention is approved by MQ.
3.5 Only entries received on the official Entry Form that are accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted.
4. INSURANCE:
4.1. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.
4.2. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees.
4.3. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE.
5. MEDICAL SERVICES:
‘EMT’ Medical Services will be in attendance from start of practice until end of racing at all events
6 ENTRY FEE:
6.1. $70 includes 1 class, plus $10 for each additional class

8 AWARDS AND PRIZEMONEY:
All Awards will be presented at the Presentation Dinner. No Prize Money for this Championship.
8.1. SCORING: All races will be scored as per the 25 point scoring system; MOM’s, {13.9.5}.
8.2. Championship will be run over 4 Rounds, with the best 3 class results scored for competitiors.
8.3. Age categories for Pre 75 and Evolution pointed separately as per the MOM’s,{13.3} plus Super Seniors.
9 ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS:
9.1. To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall be a minimum of SIX {6}
Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine events and re-distribute any awards, will be at the discretion of the club, subject to MQ approval.
10 RACE FORMAT:
10.1. NUDGEE: Each class will be raced in three {3} Rounds of four {4} laps, conditions and circumstances permitting.
There will be no semi finals or finals with all points awarded being tallied following the last race of the series.
10.2. HARRISVILLE: Each class will be raced in three {3} Rounds of three {3} laps, conditions and circumstances permitting.
There will be no semi finals or finals with all points awarded being tallied following the last race of the series.
10.3 QUEENSLAND MOTOPARK: Each class will be raced in three {3} Rounds of four {4} laps, conditions and circumstances permitting.
There will be no semi finals or finals with all points awarded being tallied following the last race of the series.
11 MACHINES AND RIDERS:
11.1. All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for CLASSIC AND EVOLUTIION MOTOCROSS Competition.
11.2. Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted.
11.3. Change of Rider and Machine may be permitted if submitted in writing to the Clerk of the Course and with the approval of the MA Steward prior to the start of the event in which the substitution is requested. Substitute machine must have been passed at machine examination. Failure of riders to follow this procedure may result in placing not being recorded
12 RIDING NUMBERS:
12.1. Wherever possible, competitors will be allocated their Registered Riding Number. All others will be allocated numbers at the Club’s discretion.
12.2. All Number Plates on all Machines MUST comply with the GCR’s.
13 GRID POSITIONS:
There will be no allocations of Grid Positions {first in, first choice}
14 RIDERS BRIEFING:
A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of racing and ALL COMPETITORS MUST ATTEND THE RIDERS BRIEFING. Riders Briefing is a NON Smoking area.
15 DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING:
15.1 All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency.
15.2 If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors telephone the Drugs in Sport Hotline 1800 020506. When drug testing takes place, the payment of prizemoney may be delayed at MQ discretion until the results of the tests are known.
16 CODE OF CONDUCT:
All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced.
17. TIMETABLE:
SUNDAY: Gates Open 6.30am
Scrutineering 7am - 8am Sign on 7am – 8am
Officials Briefing 8 am – 8.15am Riders Briefing 8.15am – 8.30am
Sound Testing 8.30am – 8.45am Practice 8.45am – 9.45am Racing 9.45am
For the purposes of drug & alcohol testing, the commencement of the meeting will be deemed to be 7am with the completion of the meeting for the participant being when the participant has vacated the venue.
18 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
18.1. NUDGEE: Approx 1000 meters of natural terrain track with manmade features ridden in an anticlockwise direction.
18.2 . HARRISVILLE: Approx 2000 meters of natural terrain track with manmade features ridden in a clockwise direction.
19 STARTS:
19.1. NUDGEE: 1 minute after the last rider passes the chequered flag on the track from the previous race; or at the Starters discretion; 10sec Board; 5 sec Board; Elastic Band start.
19.2. HARRISVILLE 1 minute after the last rider passes the chequered flag on the track from the previous race; or at the Starters discretion; 10sec Board; 5 sec Board; Self Penalising Falling Gates
20 RACING:
20.1 NUDGEE: Practice will consist of 15 min periods for all 125’s; all 250’s; all 263cc – over; and all Sidecars. Racing will consist of three {3} Rounds of four {4} Laps, conditions and circumstances permitting. All Races and Practice will be run in an anticlockwise direction on the track. Racing Program will be announced on the day at the Riders Briefing.
20.2 HARRISVILLE Practice will consist of 15 min periods for all 125’s; all 250’s; all 263cc – over; and all Sidecars. Racing will consist of three {3} Rounds of four {3}Laps, conditions and circumstances permitting. All Races and Practice will be run in a clockwise direction on the track. Racing Program will be announced on the day at the Riders Briefing.
21 NOISE:
21.1. NUDGEE: Due to Noise restrictions at this venue the ‘2 metre max method of sound testing with a maximum limit of 110DB and a 2DB allowance’, will be utilised. This noise testing will be carried out at all of our permitted events. We have put this rule into place to ensure the longevity of our racing facility and thank you all for your understanding. ( MOM”s13.10.0.1.)

22 SPECIAL NOTES AND WARNINGS:
Neither Motorcycling Queensland nor Motorcycling Australia nor the property owner, licensed officials nor duly appointed agents shall be responsible for any damage to or loss of any competing machine. Any entrant, by entering the event, shall hereby waive the right or action at law against the club, Motorcycling Australia, Motorcycling Queensland or the land owner for any damage sustained by him/her or their representatives or agents with respect of this competition or any matter arising there from.
23 LICENCES: All Riders must produce their MA Licences to compete; One Event Licences are available at a cost of $90 at the event for those who do not have a Motorcycling Australia Senior National Licence.
24 ELECTRONIC TIMING:
24.1. MYLAPS electronic timing will be utilised at this event.
24.2. It is compulsory for all competitors to have a transponder in order to compete.
24.3. Transponders must be fitted for all practice sessions.
24.4. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that the transponder is mounted correctly and securely to prevent damage from fouling other components on the machine. Cable ties will be provided. Transponder brackets can be issued with hired units. If riding more than one event the same transponder can be used. However if you are competing on separate machines, a separate transponder for each machine is recommended.
24.5. The onus is on the competitor to ensure that the correct transponder is on the correct machine prior to each event.
24.6. All competitors are required to provide their MA Licence in exchange for a timing transponder. One Event Licence holders will be required to provide their Drivers Licence/18+Card.
24.7. Transponders must be picked up and returned to the designated person/s.
24.8. When a hired transponder is transferred to the competitor, it then becomes the competitor’s responsibility.
24.9. For transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated person/s, in addition to the late return fee, the hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at the designated place This includes whilst in transit with Australia Post and by Courier.
24.10. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that transponders are returned in an undamaged condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the machine leaves the pit area. Competitors MAY be charged an additional LATE RETURN FEE of $20 per day per transponder for transponders that are not returned correctly.
24.11. There is a Fee of $350plus GST for lost or damaged transponders.
25. ANIMIALS:
With the exception of Guide Dogs, no pets allowed.
26. FOOTWEAR:
Fully enclosed footwear must be worn in the pits.
27. RIDING OFF TRACK:
No person, unless wearing correct protective clothing and helmet, may ride a motorbike or be a passenger on a motorbike at the venue at any time.
28 HELMET CAMERAS
Cameras may be fitted to the motorcycle provided they are securely mounted. Camera mounts are subject to approval by the Chief Scrutineer. Helmet cameras are not permitted unless the camera is integrated into the helmet, by design of the manufacturer. Helmet cameras may be fitted providing the mounting to the helmet will allow the camera to detach if impacted upon and the attachment method must not impair the integrity or operation of the helmet.(MOM’S13.6.1)
29 DRIVE CHAIN PROTECTORS
Primary drives (the drive connecting engine to clutch) must be guarded so as to prevent direct access to the chain or sprockets with the fingers. The guard must be constructed of: a) Metal having a minimum thickness of 1.6mm, which may be mesh or expanded metal provided the openings do not exceed 10mm, or b) Fibreglass having a minimum thickness of 3mm. If a plastic, fibreglass or part open chain guard is used, a steel bolt of not less than 10mm diameter, placed outside the bottom rear quadrant of the clutch sprocket. This bolt, if damaged, must be replaced.
A chain guard must be fitted in a way to prevent trapping between the lower drive chain run and the final drive sprocket at the rear wheel. (MOM’s 13.3.6)
