CPU Task – Referee Rules

Round 1

You will count to five. As soon as you reach five each of the four students holding coloured tasks will try to get their task 1 sheet to the CPU as fast as they can.

They must put their task on the table in front of the CPU. The one which is at the bottom of the pile was the fastest and the CPU will accept this task. If there is a dispute your decision is final.

The others must return to their position with their copy of task 1.

When you count to five again they must each try to take their task to the CPU the fastest (three will still have task 1, the fastest team member from before will have task 2).

You will continue like this until one person has gotten rid of all of their tasks.

Ask the team what they thought of this method. Did they think it was a fair way of giving the CPU the tasks?

Round 2

Make sure everyone has their tasks back and the CPU has no tasks.

For this round you will count to five and then tell the first person in the list below they can hand their task 1 into the CPU.

The team members return to their original place. You will count to five again and tell the second person on the list below they can hand their task in.

Continue until all of the tasks have been handed in.
