Pastor’s Corner

I want to take a moment and say thank you to the church family that makes up First Baptist of Pembroke. You are a very generous people. During this time of year we ask a lot of you…shoeboxes, backpacks, angel tree, Lottie Moon, and our regular giving. And I know that you are likely asked to give at work, in your neighborhood, and perhaps at your child’s school during this time as well. Still, you are generous, and I want to say thank you. As I write I am not aware of the amount we have given to Lottie Moon, but I’m sure you can see it somewhere in these pages. Let’s commit to reach and exceed that $7000 goal, even if it takes a few weeks. Our missionaries are counting on us, and many will hear of Jesus for the first time as a result of our giving. Again, thanks for all that you do. You are a blessing to me. ~~Pastor Brad

The flowers are placed in the Sanctuary in celebration of the spirit of Christmas and in honor of our children, Adelyn, Esley, and Mick. And also in memory of Wiley Ivey Kennedy, my great grandfather, who loved the Christmas season. "But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good tidings of great joy for all people. Today, in the city of David, a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, The Lord." Luke 2: 10-11.

Our thanks for this ministry of beauty.

The flowers in the Foyer are given by Bruce and Carol Bechtel, in honor of Elliot Gilbert, Elizabeth Gilbert, Cynthia Jones & Sharon Clark’s birthdays. Our thanks for this ministry of beauty.
