David Coupe
My parents moved into Thornton Village just before I was born so I have lived in the village all my life. I have seen the many changes from the 1950’s up to the present day.
As a youngster I was involved in the Cubs and Scouts and took part in many village activities.
After school and Collage I went to work in the Electronics and Telecommunications Industry including working as a test engineer for GEC in Middlesbrough.
In 1981 I decided to become self-employed and have been involved with Electronic and Computer Systems and have worked in many countries around the world.
I became a member of the Parish Council in 2015 at the same time became Ward Councilor for Stainton & Thornton on Middlesbrough Borough Council. I am also the chair of the Environmental Committee and Vice Chair of the Community Council.
